The OpportunityWe are currently seeking a
Financial Accounting Controller to join our
GlencoreSudbury Integrated Nickel Operations. This is a full-time, permanent, staff position.
Range of Pay: $166,000 to $177,000 (includes annual variable compensation bonus).

Duties and Accountabilities: Reporting to the Director of Finance - Sudbury INO, the Financial Accounting Controller is accountable for developing and implementing accounting and finance strategies, policies, controls, and systems that support the division's overall business strategy. The role provides leadership and oversight for the integrity and accuracy of financial and accounting reporting, as well as capital, production, and cost management across Sudbury operations. The incumbent reviews and analyzes financial and management reports, identifies opportunities for improvement, and works closely with the Director of Finance to provide financial focus and direction in meeting divisional objectives.
The position collaborates extensively with stakeholders across Finance, Operations, Corporate Accounting, Procurement and Logistics, and Information Systems to ensure financial resources, processes, and systems are managed effectively and efficiently. The Financial Accounting Controller provides direct leadership to the Sustainable Capital Accounting Supervisor, Production and Custom Feed Accountant, Accounts Payable & Payroll Supervisor and 2 Site Controllers, who oversee the two Senior Financial Accountant union positions.

Education and SkillsThe role requires a university degree, Canadian accounting designation (CPA), and a minimum of five years of senior-level accounting experience, with demonstrated advanced knowledge in month-end close, budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial reporting. Advanced problem-solving, conflict resolution, negotiation, communication, organizational, and leadership skills are required, as well as the ability to collaborate effectively with senior leadership and multiple mine and processing sites while providing guidance and coaching on accounting policies, procedures, and financial practices.
