National Fuel is currently seeking a
FinancialAccountant for an outstanding career opportunity in the
Accounting department at our Williamsville, NY headquarters.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: - Preparation of various corporate financial statements, SEC filings, regulatory reporting, benefit plan and other management reports
- Conduct analysis of financial results and account balances to identify and effectively communicate key variance drivers to management
- Lead or assist on projects relating to the adoption of new accounting and regulatory guidance, automation of department processes and controls, and other areas that support executive management decision making
- Develop and apply an in-depth understanding of the Company's industry, business segments, and operations to support the Company's financial accounting and reporting process
- Complete special projects, as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: - Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- Minimum of 2+years of experience in public accounting
- Working knowledge of U.S. generally accepted accounting principles
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- Exceptional analytical and organizational skills
- Dependability and attention to detail along with initiative, professionalism, and excellent interpersonal and communication skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: - 5+ years of experience in public accounting
- CPA certification (if CPA certification is not previously attained, the successful candidate should be willing to pursue)
- MBA or Masters in Accounting
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS: The base salary range for this position is $75,000-$90,000

The specific base pay offered to a successful applicant will be based primarily on relevant professional experience. Other components that may be considered include: individual qualifications, licensures, industry specific experience, education and market demands for specialized skills. The pay range is subject to change at any time based on various internal and external factors. Exempt positions will also be eligible for an Annual Cash Bonus Plan.
