We are looking for a Financial Accountant to be located in our Toppenish WA. Processing plant

Job Overview:

The Financial Accountant contributes to the integrity and accuracy of the company's financial reporting by performing detailed transactional analysis, account reconciliations, and financial data validation. This position applies foundational accounting principles to identify trends, variances, and discrepancies, while supporting monthly and annual reporting cycles. The Financial Accountant plays a vital role in ensuring compliance with internal controls and regulatory standards and collaborates cross-functionally to support continuous improvement in financial processes. The ideal candidate combines analytical thinking, attention to detail, and a proactive problem-solving approach in a fast-paced environment.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Participate in and perform month end close activities to ensure timely completion of assigned tasks
  • Prepare supporting documents for the monthly financial statements.
  • Review monthly accounting schedules as support for audits and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Use knowledge and judgement in financial, operational or transactional analysis to identify and resolve issues
  • Support year-end or other special audit activities
  • Assist in the preparation of tax returns and timely filing of tax payments with local authorities
  • Develop monthly variance analyses as needed
  • Manage the fixed asset subledger and provide analysis of actual vs. budgeted spend on key projects
  • Develop management reports as required
  • Prepare and review subsidiary journals (accounts payable, accounts receivable, sales, payroll) and post to general ledger; correct any A/P errors found in statement.
  • Record monthly journal entries for depreciation, inventory variation and other adjusting journal entries
  • Special projects and other related duties as assigned.


Preferred Experience and Education:

  • Candidates would typically have two or more years of accounting experience and a bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
  • Demonstrate the highest standards of personal and professional integrity and promote ethical business behavior throughout the organization
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, including advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Ability to build relationships, lead and motivate teams to achieve goals
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify areas and make recommendations for continuous improvement and/or cost reductions
  • Ability to translate complex financial information into user-friendly formats
  • Ability to be flexible to deal with ambiguity and a dynamic business environment
  • Ability to manage competing obligations and prioritize accordingly to meet deadlines
  • Effective communication and negotiation skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamic AX and Power BI would be a plus along with a commitment to continuing education.
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP


WAGE RANGE: $80,168-$95,000 per year

BENEFITS: Competitive benefit package offered for employees (and qualified dependents) working 30+ hours per week includes medical/dental/vision insurance, life insurance, long-term disability, 401k, PTO accrual up to 15 days per year, six (6) paid holidays annually, and three (3) floating holidays.
