Full Job Description
About the job

As a member of the Finance and Strategy team, you won't just report on the business-you will help shape the strategic decisions that drive it. Your day-to-day mission is to help our leaders make high-stakes decisions across Hopper's verticals by merging deep financial intuition with AI-accelerated technical execution and forward-looking modeling.

We are moving away from manual, static modeling. We want a builder who can architect long-range models, stress-test assumptions, and bring structured thinking to ambiguous, high-stakes questions. We also want a builder who views Claude and other LLMs as core teammates to automate workflows, architect complex SQL, and develop long-term FP&A tooling.

What would your day-to-day look like
  • Business Partnering: Act as a strategic thought partner to business leaders, building and owning the financial models that translate complex operational drivers into clear strategic recommendations
  • Predictive Strategic Planning Focus: Architect long-range forecasting models and engines that go beyond static spreadsheets. You'll use AI to simulate "what-if" scenarios, helping the business navigate short-term volatility while building a resilient, code-based roadmap for the next 3-5 years.
  • Technical Infrastructure & Automation: Build and maintain the code-based systems that power our finance engine. You'll leverage Claude to write, debug, and optimize complex SQL and Big Query workflows to automate real-time dashboards and weekly performance briefings, ensuring our financial reporting is scalable and automated.
  • Cross-Functional Finance Support: Partner with teams across the business - including Sales and Media - on forecasting, unit economics, and performance tracking as priorities evolve

An ideal candidate has
  • A degree in Business, Strategy, Finance, Math, Engineering, or other quantitative discipline
  • 5-7+ years of experience in a top tier tech company
  • Investment banking skillset preferred
  • You have a proven track record of using Claude, ChatGPT, or GitHub Copilot to amplify your output. You don't just "know" SQL; you know how to use AI to write better SQL, faster.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit, ability to work autonomously; builder mindset
  • Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills, with strong 3-statement modeling experience

Perks and benefits of working with us:
  • Well-funded and proven startup with large ambitions, competitive salary and the upsides of pre-IPO equity packages.
  • Unlimited PTO.
  • Carrot Cash travel stipend.
  • Access to co-working space on demand through FlexDesk AND Work-from-home stipend.
  • Please ask us about our very generous parental leave, much above industry standards!.
  • Entrepreneurial culture where pushing limits and taking risks is everyday business.
  • Open communication with management and company leadership.
  • Small, dynamic teams = massive impact.
  • 100% employer paid Medical, Dental and Vision coverage for employees.
  • Access to Disability & Life insurance.
  • Health Reimbursement Account (HRA).
  • DCA/ FSA and access to 401k plan
