Full Job Description
General Description: Responsible for financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and analysis of operating expenses (OPEX) and capital expenditures (CAPEX) for Sumitomo Biorational Company's (SBC) AgroSciences Division, Public Health Division, and Corporate Functions. Partners with business leaders and cross-functional teams to provide financial insights, support effective resource allocation, identify risks and opportunities, and improve financial planning and reporting processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the annual OPEX and CAPEX budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes for the AgroSciences Division, Public Health Division, and Corporate Functions.
  • Partner with business leaders to provide financial analysis, performance insights, and decision support, including identifying and communicating risks and opportunities.
  • Monitor financial performance, analyze variances to budget and forecast, and prepare monthly financial reporting, forecasts, dashboards, and management presentations.
  • Develop financial models, business cases, and scenario analyses to support capital investments, business initiatives, resource allocation, and operational decision-making.
  • Collaborate with Accounting, Cost Accounting, Planning, and other cross-functional teams to support financial reporting and improve and standardize financial planning, forecasting, and reporting processes.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related business discipline.
  • Five to seven years of progressively responsible experience in Finance, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), Corporate Finance, Accounting, or a related field.


Skills & Abilities
  • Demonstrated experience in budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, variance analysis, and financial modeling, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP/financial planning and reporting systems such as SAP, Oracle, Hyperion, Power BI, OneStream, or similar.
  • Strong communication, business-partnering, and organizational skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across functions, communicate financial information to business leaders, and manage multiple priorities and deadlines

Base Salary: The estimated annual base salary for this position ranges from:

$112,000 to $137,000. Individual pay is based upon location, skills, experience, and other relevant factors.

Incentives: All full-time employees are eligible for an incentive program or profit-sharing program in addition to their base salary.
