About Your RoleFrontier Radiology, Harrison.ai's AI-enabled teleradiology service, is a core pillar of the company's 2026 growth agenda and its first major push into US-based clinical service delivery. Reporting to the CFO, this role is the finance engine behind that build-out and the primary finance presence on the ground in the US, with day-to-day ownership of the function and a high degree of autonomy, while Group Finance in Australia provides governance and a clear view of the business. An outsourced provider handles today's processing; the Finance Manager sets direction and builds the roadmap to bring that capability in-house over time.
This is a rare opportunity for a US finance professional to build a function largely from the ground up inside a category-defining, high-growth AI healthcare company with direct exposure to a novel RVU-based radiologist compensation model and a fast-scaling multi-state operation. For a finance leader who wants ownership, autonomy, and the chance to shape a growth region and with the support of the enterprise teams, this role offers exactly that.
What You'll Do:Payroll & Compensation- Own day-to-day payroll decisions for US employees in Rippling including new hires, terminations and compensation changes, directing and approving the outsourced provider's processing, and escalating policy-level or out-of-authority items to the Group team
- Administer the RVU-based radiologist pay model and sign-on/retention/milestone bonus arrangements within Group-approved parameters and apply the worker-classification framework partnering with People & Culture and Legal on complex cases.
- Manage multi-state withholding and benefits deductions within approved parameters.
Payroll Tax & Compliance- Direct multi-state payroll and employment-tax registrations, withholding, deposits and compliance calendars through the outsourced provider.
- Review and approve payroll tax filings and information returns and resolve workers' compensation and state unemployment matters.
- Maintain audit-ready documentation, and escalate corporate tax, transfer pricing or entity-structuring matters to Group Tax.
Accounts Payable & Expenses- Approve US vendor invoicing and expense reimbursements within delegated authority, directing the provider's processing.
- Manage vendor relationships, payment terms and flagged cost anomalies.
Reporting, Planning & Analysis- Lead US management reporting of actuals, variance to budget, and headcount and payroll-cost analysis and support input to global reporting.
- Support budgeting and forecasting for payroll, contractor spend and operating expenditure and provide input to Group cash-flow forecasts on immediate-payment obligations.
- Analyse cost-per-read/RVU economics to support the teleradiology service P&L.
Business Partnering- Act as the primary US finance point of contact, partnering with the Group team to ensure US activity is reflected accurately and on time in Group reporting and controls.
- Partner with People & Culture on compensation events, and with service/squad leads and radiologist operations on staffing and cost drivers; provide local billing and revenue-recognition input for US contracts.
- Support the data warehouse program and flag repetitive local finance tasks suited to AI-enabled automation.
External Relationships- Manage local US banking relationships and payment infrastructure.
- Own the relationship with Harrison.ai's outsourced accounting, payroll and HR-compliance provider and set direction, approve deliverables, and build the roadmap to progressively insource.
What You'll Bring:- 5+ years' experience in a US finance/accounting role, with hands-on payroll and payroll-tax compliance experience and the seniority to set policy and direct others' work.
- Experience directing an outsourced/fractional finance or payroll provider (BPO, accounting firm, PEO) setting standards and reviewing output, not just executing personally.
- Working knowledge of Rippling, or a comparable multi-state US payroll platform.
- Familiarity with International Financial Accounting Standards (IFRS) would be well regarded
- Comfort with variable/commission-based compensation, worker classification and US accounts payable and expense administration.
- Strong Excel skills, high attention to detail, and a pragmatic, get-it-done approach suited to a scaling business. Confidence operating as the primary US-based finance decision-maker, while maintaining close, proactive communication with a Group finance function based overseas.
Nice to have skills and characteristics:- Healthcare, radiology, or physician/RVU-based compensation experience is highly regarded.
- High-growth start-up/scale-up exposure is a plus.
