A Day in Your Life at MKS:

As a Finance Manager, Global Services at MKS Instruments, you will partner with Global Service Operations, Regional Finance, Operations Finance, and Corporate Finance teams to strengthen financial governance across MKS' global service and sales organizations. You will ensure the integrity of key financial processes, improve visibility into service profitability, and develop scalable financial frameworks that support evolving service business models across both the Vacuum Solutions Division (VSD) and Photonics Solutions Division (PSD).

In this role, you will report to the Finance Director, Global Service and serve as a key business partner in driving financial accuracy, operational consistency, and strategic decision-making across the global service organization.

You Will Make an Impact By:

  • Establishing global ownership and governance of critical Sales and Service financial processes, including Profit in Inventory (PII), Intercompany Purchase Price Variance (IPPV), service labor rates, service overhead rates, and service cost roll processes.

  • Leading the end-to-end reconciliation, enhancement, and governance of Service Standard Margin reporting by identifying and eliminating transactional noise, accounting variances, and reporting inconsistencies to provide transparent operational performance metrics.

  • Partnering with regional finance, accounting, operations, and service leadership teams to improve financial statement accuracy, strengthen balance sheet controls, mitigate P&L volatility, and ensure consistent financial execution across global service operations.

  • Designing and scaling financial processes that support evolving service business models, including field service regionalization, depot repair super-centers, and strategic service growth initiatives.

  • Supporting monthly financial reviews, forecasting processes, margin analysis, executive reporting, MBR/QBR preparation, and performance dashboards that provide actionable insights for business leaders.

  • Driving continuous improvement, standardization, and automation of service finance processes through collaboration with Finance initiatives, data analytics, Power BI reporting, and digital transformation efforts.

  • Travel Requirements: Up to 10% travel may be required.

Skills You Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.

  • 5+ years of experience in finance, accounting, controllership, cost accounting, operations finance, or related disciplines.

  • Strong understanding of financial statements, cost accounting principles, inventory accounting, variance analysis, and financial controls.

  • Experience supporting global operations, service organizations, manufacturing environments, or multi-national business structures.

  • Strong communication and business partnership skills with the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders and translate financial concepts into actionable business insights.

  • Experience working with ERP systems such as SAP and Oracle.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and lead cross-functional process improvement initiatives in a fast-paced global environment.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience supporting finance transformation, shared services, implementations, or process automation initiatives.

  • CPA, CMA, MBA, or equivalent professional certification.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions:

  • Perform activities such as sitting, standing, or typing for extended periods of time.  

  • Operates in a professional office environment.

  • Ability to work effectively with globally distributed teams across multiple time zones.

We are interested in a qualified candidate who is eligible to work in the United States. However, we will not be sponsoring work visas for this position.

Compensation and Benefits:
Salary Pay Range: $ 109,750.00 - 182,900.00 per year. This range is a good faith estimate of the expected salary range for this position, based on a wide range of factors including qualifications, experience and training, operational and business needs and other considerations permitted by law.  At MKS, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for the role.

Bonus: This position is eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, in an amount to be determined by MKS [or as applicable].
