FIT partners closely with FP&A, Accounting, Tax, Treasury, and Technology teams to modernize planning capabilities, improve data clarity, and enable smarter, faster decision-making at scale.

The Role

We are seeking a Finance Data & Reporting Systems Manager to lead and scale reporting for eBay Finance, unifying core Finance data, modernizing reporting capabilities, enabling self-service insights, and embedding AI throughout the reporting lifecycle.

This role combines program leadership, technical enablement, and change management, with accountability for delivering consistent, trusted reporting, improving time-to-insight, and reducing manual reporting effort. The role includes ownership and improvement of our internally developed reporting applications, and orchestration of cross-functional delivery across various reporting and data platforms like BigQuery (GBQ), Tableau, and Hadoop.

What You Will Accomplish:
  • Partner with stakeholders to lead requirements, discovery, design, and user story development within agile frameworks.
  • Drive improvements and integrations for reporting applications and connectivity across data and reporting tools (BigQuery, Tableau, Tellius, SAP S/4HANA, Hadoop).
  • Help develop and implement the vision, roadmap, and critical metrics for finance reporting modernization.
  • Partner with engineering on scalable data pipelines, access governance, and guide semantic model design to ensure critical metric consistency across tools.
  • Leverage usage analytics, surveys, and data insights to advise product decisions and prioritize improvements.
  • Develop enablement, communications, and training programs to drive adoption and self-service analytics.
  • Ensure role-based access controls, audit readiness, data security and reporting quality controls
  • Lead and develop an individual contributor(s) to deliver high-quality curated datasets on schedule with automated reconciliation and accuracy controls, in order to further enhance the reporting landscape for Finance
  • Define operating rhythms, measure adoption, and reduce manual reporting through automation and standardization.
Required Qualifications
  • 7+ years owning and delivering data or reporting platforms as products, including defining vision, setting roadmaps, and driving adoption with business stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to partner across Finance, Data, and Engineering to translate business needs into scalable reporting solutions.
  • Hands-on experience with modern data ecosystems such as BigQuery, Snowflake, or Hadoop, including working with data pipelines, APIs, and system integrations.
  • Built and run "single source of truth" reporting, including defining KPIs and ensuring data accuracy through governance and reconciliation processes.
  • Led cross-functional initiatives across Engineering, Data, and Finance, driving delivery, handling trade-offs, and aligning to business priorities.
  • Improved reporting adoption and enabled self-service analytics by identifying user needs and increasing efficiency through automation and standardization.
  • Strong SQL and data analysis skills, with experience validating, reconciling, and troubleshooting reporting outputs.
  • Experience mentoring or guiding team members and supporting both technical and business contributors.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Solid understanding of financial reporting and planning cycles, with the ability to speak expertly about key business metrics such as revenue, GMV, and margin.
  • Familiar with AI-enabled analytics and reporting workflows, including integrating AI tools or supporting automated insights.
