Full Job Description
What the day will look like
  • Partner with Finance community (Corporate Finance, Controllership, Tax, Governance), collaborate with offshore finance resources and laisse with Sales/Brokers, Operations/Accounting, HR, and other functions to align financial goals with business priorities.
  • Lead long-term planning, annual budgeting, monthly forecasting, monthly actuals variance analysis and processes.
  • Perform in-depth reviews and evaluations of monthly forecasted financials to support operational and strategic initiatives.
  • Ensure integrity, consistency, and accuracy of financial data, forecasts, and reporting and communicate complex financial concepts in a clear and actionable manner.
  • Maintain compliance with internal controls, financial policies, and governance requirements.
  • Develop and deliver regular financial reporting and presentation materials to Executive Management to help evaluate and forecast business financial performance; provide presentations of consolidated data with actionable insights and help formulate strategies to drive improved financial results.
  • Assist with executive level presentations that provide insights on monthly, quarterly and full year results as well as performance against key operating metrics.
  • Coordinate deliverables for SOX controls and external audit.
  • Lead initiatives to improve financial processes and systems, enhancing overall efficiency and accuracy. Promote continuous improvement through automation, standardization, and innovation.
  • Become subject matter expert in the assigned area of responsibility with the ability to independently handle and resolve complex issues.
  • Foster an inclusive, collaborative, and high-performing team culture. Participate in talent development opportunities including training and mentoring. Prioritize self-development and continuous learning responsibilities.

Skills and experience that will lead to success
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting / Finance.
  • 7+ years of related work experience / FP&A experience (Forecasting, Planning and Analysis) preferred.
  • Proficient with MS Excel and PowerPoint; experience in Workday GL and TM1 a plus. Ability to learn other financial systems.
  • Results driven, analytical, self-motivated team player with ability to independently resolve issues and problem solve successfully while working on multiple priorities.
  • Accuracy, thoroughness and strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships with business partners.

Pay Transparency Laws

The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $110,000 - $125,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant's education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant's geographic location.

The salary range reflected is based on a primary work location of Chicago, Illinois. The actual salary may vary for applicants in a different geographic location.

This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon's annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary. The amount of any bonus varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
