The Position

The Opportunity

The Finance Analyst is responsible for managing, analyzing, and supporting contract-based service billing operations. This role focuses on ensuring accurate billing execution, investigating and resolving billing discrepancies, and providing financial modeling for contract proposals. Working cross-functionally with contracts and pricing, sales, RSN, and operations teams, the Finance Analyst serves as a subject matter expert in contract performance and billing resolution to drive revenue retention and operational quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Investigate & Resolve Inquiries: Track, analyze, and investigate complex customer billing inquiries, contract pricing discrepancies, and payment disputes.

  • Transaction Research: Research transaction histories across financial and billing platforms to determine root causes of billing errors.

  • Adjustments & Credits: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to approve and issue billing adjustments, credits, or re-bills in a timely manner.

  • Stakeholder Communication: Synthesize financial findings and present clear recommendations to stakeholders to resolve recurring billing issues and prevent revenue leakage.

  • Ad Hoc & Routine Reporting: Develop, maintain, and automate financial reports, dashboards, and documentation to ensure accuracy and transparency across business.

  • Process Improvement: Continuously assess billing and contract workflows to drive efficiency, reduce error rates, and support organizational quality goals.

  • Compliance: Ensure all billing actions and financial adjustments align with company internal controls, revenue recognition standards, and contract terms.


Who You Are

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).

  • 2+ years of professional experience in financial analysis, contract administration, billing operations, or revenue management.

  • ERP & Systems Proficiency: Hands-on experience with enterprise billing systems (e.g., SAP).

  • Advanced Spreadsheet Skills: High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets.

  • Analytical Problem-Solving: Demonstrated capability to evaluate complex transaction histories, identify root causes, and present actionable solutions.

  • Attention to Detail: Exceptional precision in working with multi-layered contract terms, pricing tables, and financial reconciliations.

  • Communication & Stakeholder Management: Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to articulate complex financial concepts to non-finance partners.

  • Adaptability & Independence: Ability to manage multiple priorities independently in a fast-paced environment with high transaction volumes.

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of Indiana is $65,900 - $122,500. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance. This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.
