JOB PURPOSE
Support the Director of Commercial Finance & Business Development in delivering the full lifecycle of real estate activity and business development initiatives across the Americas. This role provides rigorous financial analysis, business case modelling, and lease portfolio management, acting as a key analytical resource to drive retail productivity, portfolio optimisation, and profitable growth in support of the Burberry Forward transformation agenda.
RESPONSIBILITIES
REAL ESTATE & LEASE PORTFOLIO MANAGEMENT
• Prepare financial models and occupancy cost analysis to support lease negotiations, renewals, and rent reviews; benchmark against market comparables and identify cost-saving opportunities within the existing portfolio
• Support the preparation of materials for the Real Estate Strategy meeting, including appraisal presentations, market updates, portfolio reviews, and new opportunity presentations for senior stakeholders
• Maintain and update the Americas lease pipeline, tracking all critical dates including breaks, expirations, renewals, rent reviews, relocations, and expansions across mainline, digital, and outlet channels
• Coordinate with Legal and Accounting teams to ensure proper reflection of lease amendments, capex spend and depreciation, and other transactional real estate activity
BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT & MARKET GROWTH ANALYSIS
• Build financial models and business cases to evaluate new market opportunities, including new store openings, relocations, remodels, franchise proposals, and travel retail partnerships; covering IRR, NPV, capital and operating cost impacts, and scenario analysis
• Support the Director in research and analysis of market data, competitive landscape, and retail trends to identify and evaluate growth opportunities aligned to the Burberry Forward strategy across flagship and wider regional markets
FINANCIAL PLANNING, REPORTING & BUSINESS PARTNERING
• Develop and maintain financial models and reporting tools; identify opportunities for automation and process improvement to drive efficiency and accuracy across real estate and commercial finance outputs
• Prepare monthly capex reporting across the real estate portfolio, tracking actual spend against approved budgets and providing timely visibility to Finance and senior stakeholders
• Provide ad hoc analysis and support to the Director, CFO, and commercial stakeholders as required; take ownership of file-building and process documentation to support recurring and ad hoc activity
PERSONAL PROFILE
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Real Estate, or related field; 2-4+ years of FP&A or commercial finance experience, preferably in luxury or retail
• Exposure to real estate transactions, lease management, or property portfolio analysis is a strong advantage
• Strong financial modelling skills with excellent Excel proficiency; experience with business case development, ROI and NPV analysis, and scenario planning
• Commercially minded and detail-oriented; able to translate analysis into clear, actionable insights for both finance and non-finance audiences
• Strong communication skills - written and oral; proactive, collaborative, and effective across Finance, Retail, Legal, and Operations teams
• Experience with ERP (SAP/Oracle)
MEASURES OF SUCCESS
• Accuracy and timeliness of lease portfolio tracking; zero critical date misses and proactive management of key lease events
• Quality and rigour of business case analysis and financial models; delivery of relevant, accurate, and actionable insights to support real estate and business development decisions
• Strong partnerships with commercial teams and credibility through output; positive feedback from Retail, Legal, and Finance stakeholders on responsiveness and quality of support

Expected base salary for the role will generally be between $85,000.00 and $105,000.00 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and Company-sponsored benefit programs.
This position is at-will and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
