Job Description:

Job Title: Investment Banking: Financial Institutions Group- Debt Capital Markets

Corporate Title: Associate

Location: New York, NY

What You'll Do:
  • Originate, structure and lead the execution of IG debt transactions in coordination with senior originators
  • Preparation of market updates, pricing and client pitch material
  • Develop and maintain detailed knowledge of debt markets, Bio-Pharmaceutical sector financing activity and client developments
  • Effectively communicate pertinent market and business information to clients and colleagues
  • Build and manage client relationships through active client dialogue clients (phone, writing, meetings), to understand and meet their needs
  • Engage with colleagues across DCM, syndicate, sales, trading and banking to identify themes and opportunities relevant to client coverage


How You'll Lead:
  • Develop and cultivate strong client relationships
  • Work collaboratively with other parts of the bank to offer multiple products and solutions to clients
  • Identify issues, gaps and process improvements through open communication both internally and with other bank areas, and through the monitoring of productivity against benchmarks
  • Ensure that bank policies and guidelines applicable to the division are complied with to ensure that risk is appropriately mitigated


Skills You'll Need:
  • Significant network and experience within the arena with extensive, product and market knowledge
  • Strong technical and academic background
  • Relevant experience (Debt Capital Markets, Investment Banking, Credit Markets preferable)
  • Strong interest in career progression within Debt Capital Markets
  • Experience in market trend interpretation

Expectations:

It is the Bank's expectation that employees hired into this role work in person in the New York, NY office.

The salary range for this position in New York City is $110,000 to $225,000. Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's skill set, experience, education, work location and other qualifications. Posted salary ranges do not include incentive compensation or any other type of renumeration.
