Job Summary:
The Regional Field Service Manager - Automated Camera Enforcement is responsible for leading all field service operations supporting municipal photo enforcement programs across a defined geographic region. This role ensures uptime, compliance, SLA performance, and operational excellence for speed, red-light, school zone, and other automated enforcement systems.
The Manager oversees field technicians responsible for installation, maintenance, calibration, troubleshooting, and relocation of enforcement camera systems, ensuring contractual, regulatory, and evidentiary standards are consistently met.

Key Responsibilities
Field Operations & System Uptime
  • Lead and manage regional field technicians supporting fixed and mobile automated enforcement systems.
  • Ensure camera uptime meets or exceeds contractual SLAs.
  • Oversee preventative maintenance schedules, calibration cycles, and system certifications.
  • Ensure timely response to outages, equipment failures, and municipality escalations.
  • Conduct field audits and quality assurance inspections.
Regulatory & Evidentiary Compliance
  • Ensure all equipment meets state and municipal regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee proper documentation for calibration, maintenance logs, and chain-of-custody protocols.
  • Ensure systems comply with state statutes governing automated enforcement.
  • Partner with Legal and Compliance teams on audit requests or evidentiary inquiries.
Municipal & Stakeholder Partnership
  • Serve as operational point of contact for municipal clients within region.
  • Participate in client performance reviews and operational meetings.
  • Support contract renewals by ensuring service reliability and responsiveness.
  • Coordinate with Program Managers and citation processing teams to align field and back-office operations.
Performance Management & Metrics
  • Monitor KPIs including:
    • Camera uptime %
    • Mean time to repair (MTTR)
    • SLA response compliance
    • Preventative maintenance completion rates
    • Safety and quality metrics
  • Drive corrective action plans when performance gaps are identified.
  • Prepare regional operational performance reports.
Workforce Planning & Development
  • Hire, train, and develop field technicians specializing in enforcement hardware and roadside infrastructure.
  • Ensure technicians maintain certifications related to electrical systems, radar/LiDAR calibration, and roadway safety.
  • Manage scheduling to support high-priority deployments and relocations.
Financial & Asset Oversight
  • Manage regional service budget including labor, fleet, parts, and subcontractors.
  • Oversee inventory control for camera systems, poles, cabinets, and supporting hardware.
  • Partner with Supply Chain on equipment forecasting and lifecycle replacement.
Safety & Risk Management
  • Enforce roadway safety protocols and traffic control standards.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA and DOT requirements for roadside work.
  • Oversee fleet safety and safe driving practices.
  • Conduct safety audits and field risk assessments.
Qualifications

Required:
  • 5-8+ years of field service operations experience
  • 3-5+ years leading distributed technical teams
  • Experience supporting roadside infrastructure, traffic systems, or municipal contracts
  • Strong knowledge of SLA-driven service environments
  • Experience managing field safety in active roadway environments
  • Ability to travel 40-60% within region

Preferred:
  • Experience with automated enforcement systems (speed/red-light cameras)
  • Knowledge of radar/LiDAR calibration standards
  • Familiarity with municipal procurement and contract compliance
  • Electrical or ITS (Intelligent Transportation Systems) background
  • Lean / continuous improvement experience
