Field Service Manager

Compensation Range: $110K-$120K DOE

Position Summary

The Field Service Manager serves in a dual role as a hands-on Service Technician and leader. This position is responsible for servicing, troubleshooting, and repairing commercial cooking and refrigeration equipment while also supporting assigned Field Service Technicians.

The Field Service Manager serves as a technical resource and leader for the assigned team, helping technicians with technical support, training, company procedures, and customer service issues. The ideal candidate brings strong commercial foodservice equipment experience, excellent troubleshooting skills, leadership ability, and a customer-focused approach.

This role plays an important part in maintaining technician performance, service quality, customer satisfaction, safety, and overall operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Service, troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair commercial cooking and refrigeration equipment
  • Communicate with customers and branch staff regarding repair status, scheduling, and service conditions
  • Complete service tickets accurately and according to company procedures and best practices
  • Maintain appropriate truck stock and ensure technicians have the parts and materials needed to complete service calls
  • Maintain service vehicle, tools, equipment, and uniforms to Tech24 standards
  • Assist the Service Manager in determining appropriate technician stocking levels
  • Support assigned technicians with company procedures, policies, and software
  • Provide technical support, coaching, and training to assigned technicians
  • Assist with monthly technician and safety meetings
  • Assist with technician performance reviews and provide feedback as needed
  • Train new technicians on safe troubleshooting, equipment service, preventative maintenance, and company procedures
  • Perform monthly truck inspections
  • Assist the Branch or Service Manager with the hiring and disciplinary process for assigned technicians
  • Serve as a positive example and Company advocate for less experienced and new technicians
  • Help resolve customer service issues that directly impact assigned technicians
  • Promote a safe working environment and ensure safety procedures are followed
  • Participate in on-call rotation, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required


Qualifications
  • 5+ years of commercial foodservice equipment, HVAC/R, refrigeration, or related service experience
  • EPA certification or other applicable refrigeration certification required
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills across commercial cooking and refrigeration equipment
  • Previous leadership, mentoring, or technician training experience preferred
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in the field
  • Ability to coach, support, and develop technicians
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record required
  • Ability to climb ladders, work from heights, and crawl in tight quarters
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs. and work in varying indoor/outdoor conditions
  • Ability to travel extensively within the assigned territory
  • Own industry-standard hand tools
  • Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation, including nights, weekends, and holidays


Compensation Transparency

The advertised pay for this position is $110K-$120K. Final compensation will be determined based on factors such as experience level, technical certifications, specialized expertise, leadership experience, and overall qualifications.
