Field Service Manager - Eastern Canada (full time) Montreal, QC, Canada | req29133
This position is responsible for the safe operation, installation & Maintenance of bulk cryogenic and CO2 equipment located at Linde's Customer's locations throughout Eastern Canada.
What you will enjoy doing* - You'll lead the safe operation of Field Services Technicians and Coordinators across the region, running regular safety meetings and hands-on training sessions
- Promoting a strong safety culture is key to helping the Customer Service Team achieve zero injuries and accidents
- Managing hiring, training, and compliance for the region's technicians will be part of your role
- You'll plan projects and allocate resources, coordinating with remote teams and personnel to keep everything on track
- Taking financial responsibility for project margins means forecasting accurately and reporting on revenue and costs for the region
- Meeting budget targets for both operational and capital expenses will be one of your priorities
- Collaborating with sales teams on pre-sales activities helps set the stage for successful contracts
- You'll develop ways to track project progress and keep stakeholders informed with clear reports
- Working closely with management and clients, you'll assess needs and recommend the right services, including making site visits when needed
- Attending client project meetings will keep you connected and aligned with customer expectations
- Building strong relationships with customers supports sales growth and ensures compliance for billable Customer Service activities
- You'll manage project and maintenance tasks to keep daily operations running smoothly
- Prioritizing preventative maintenance helps us meet compliance targets consistently
- Leading productivity projects to reduce costs will drive efficiency across the Customer Service operation
What makes you great* - You'll ideally have a university degree, diploma, or equivalent experience in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field, along with some industry experience
- It's important that you bring at least 3 years of management experience in a relevant industry, whether that's customer service, sales, or something similar
- Having spent a minimum of 3 years in a role where you handled project management responsibilities will really set you up for success here
- You should be comfortable with financial methods and systems that relate to managing projects and operations
- Managing your time well and prioritizing multiple important tasks will be key to staying organized and effective
- Working collaboratively with diverse groups of stakeholders is something you'll do regularly to reach shared goals
- You'll need solid knowledge of construction methods, systems, and materials, and it's great if you keep up with the latest industry practices through continuous learning
- Being able to understand and interpret engineering drawings, tenders, contract documents, and subcontractor agreements will help you apply your strong analytical and problem-solving skills every day
