Full Job Description
The Field Sales Trainer is responsible for facilitating learning of product and clinical knowledge through field training, field rides, and coaching Territory Managers (TMs) and Field Clinical Managers (FCMs) in the field, especially in the areas of clinical acumen, surgical case management, and Operating Room (OR) competency. This role bridges the gap between classroom learning and real-world execution. In addition, they will collaborate with sales leaders to prepare Territory Managers to achieve sales quota and marketing objectives through training initiatives as well as selling skills, while operating within the company policies/procedures and expense budget. This position supports field sales for entire continental US. Eastern or Central time zones preferred. What you'll be doing • Improve overall sales effectiveness/capacity through resource reinforcement and creation. • Responsible for assisting in training, internally and externally, new, and existing members of the PNS Team (Territory Managers & Field Clinical Managers) through a strategically designed/approved and executed training plan with an emphasis on both clinical and sales excellence. • Support and facilitate Mentor Program for new hires. • Strategically align field training objectives to deliver marketing and sales performance indicators including sales revenue, growth, objectives, gross profit, etc. • Collaborate with marketing, leadership, and internal partners to incorporate new products, messaging, and content into field training experiences. • Deliver effective facilitation, presentation, and coaching skills throughout training initiatives, providing constructive feedback to participants, as necessary. • Perform training needs assessments in partnership with leadership and create targeted field training and enablement programs to meet identified business needs. • Maintain knowledge and understanding of trends and changes in healthcare and adult learning. • Models Bioventus compliance throughout all activities and interactions. • Develop and mentor field sales representatives via field rides and virtual oversight for pull through of selling skills, messaging, clinical skills, and business strategy development. • Provide professional growth opportunities and partnership with commercial continuing education. • Coordinates with Senior Sales Trainer - PNS on strategic and prioritized field sales training activities and initiatives. • Conducts training internal and external sessions including but not limited to: - PNS Sales Team and other colleagues - National and Regional meetings - Cadaver Lab optimization - New Hire Training - Advanced and ongoing training • Other duties as assigned What you'll bring to the table • A minimum of a bachelor's degree required and clinical background is a plus (such as RN, PT, OT, ATC, PA, NP): • A minimum of 3 years of outside sales experience in medical device; clinical support, sales support, or marketing roles a plus. • Experience in sales and service to hospitals and/or ambulatory surgery centers, particularly in an Operating Room setting with experience in neuromodulation preferred. • A background in program building, education, public speaking, or adult learning. • A track record of successful sales experience and experience coaching to sales excellence • CRM and pipeline management skills • Possess strong interpersonal skills in order to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders. • Organized, self-motivated and possesses integrity, initiative, and excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Demonstrate the ability to effectively communicate, solve problems, and adapt to a fast-changing environment with ease. • Possess dedication to teamwork and commitment to excellence. • Possess a talent for quickly mastering technology • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, TEAMS) • This position may require 50% or more of travel time. Proximity to major airport preferred. • This is a remote position.
