Full Job Description
We are looking for a Field Reimbursement Executive to join us in our Field Access & Reimbursement team in support of the following territory: Northwest

Preferred location to reside in: Any major city in the Northwest (N. California, Reno, Portland, Seattle)

Territory: N. California, Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Nevada, Alaska
Ability to travel: 50-75%

About the role
The Field Reimbursement Executive (FRE) is responsible for ensuring that appropriate patients have access to UCB products and Patient Services. The FRE will work with all engaged sites of care within assigned geography to inform them on matters related to access and reimbursement of UCB products.

Who you'll work with The FRE will serve as a liaison to all engaged sites of care administering UCB's medication through a patient's medical benefit and pharmacy benefit. They provide support to patients and accounts specific to benefit verifications, product procurement processes, reimbursement information, billing, coding, and coverage details, after clinical decisions have been made.

What you'll do
  • Responsible for communicating market dynamics, coverage, billing, coding and reimbursement policies with all Healthcare Professionals in all sites of care involved in a patient journey for both patients whom receive their medications via injection by a healthcare professional (Medical Benefit) as well as patients that self-administer (Pharmacy Benefit).
  • Provide Federal, State or Commercial payer specific guidance on a National, Regional and local level regarding the coverage policy and appropriateness of codes for billing accuracy.
  • Coordinate the benefit verification referral process with UCB's service center(s) and deliver timely and accurate follow up to account stakeholders to help ensure patient access to UCB medicines.
  • Educate accounts and coordinate with service center(s) on the availability of patient support programs such as Co-Pay Assistance and the Patient Assistance Program.
  • Develop state level Key Access Stakeholder relationships with Healthcare Professionals who will advocate to Medicare Part A/B, Commercial and State Payers for medical benefit access to UCB products for patients.
  • Develop strategic coverage, access and reimbursement relationships with their local Medicare Part A/B Contractors operating in assigned territory.
  • Provide strategic coverage/reimbursement leadership and support to the internal UCB District Sales Managers and other members of the UCB Patient Value Teams.
  • Communicate on a regular basis with their Market Access and Pricing colleagues on Payer coverage and reimbursement related issues and identify policy changes and carve outs that have material impact on UCB product access.

Required:
  • Bachelors Degree
  • 8+ years of experience in biopharmaceutical or related fields
  • Prior experience in one or more of the following areas: Market Access, Sales Leadership. Medical Affairs, Account Management, Patient Access
  • Experience in Rare Diseases, Oncology, Immunology, or other therapeutic areas requiring advanced medical knowledge and complex medical treatment support.
  • Experience with HUB services for patient referrals, benefit verification, coverage, and affordability for specialty and biologic medications

Preferred:
  • 4+ years of experience in Coverage/Access, Reimbursement, or Account Management or equivalent experience in related healthcare, pharmaceutical, or payer environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to navigate complex healthcare systems, manage stakeholder relationships, and drive access solutions.
  • Strong understanding of U.S. and State regulatory environments, including evolving payer coverage, access, and reimbursement practices.
  • Knowledge of the US payer and reimbursement systems, including Commercial Insurers, Pharmacy Benefits Managers, Specialty Pharmacies, Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) policies, especially Medicare Parts B and D, Medicaid (fee for service and managed).


This positions reasonably anticipated base salary range is $155,000-$203,000. The actual salary offered will take into account related knowledge, skills, experience and location among other factors and may fall outside the expected range.
