Position SummaryThe Field Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of assigned commercial projects from initiation through completion. This role ensures projects are properly staffed, safely executed, and completed in alignment with company standards and schedules. The Field Operations Manager is expected to perform additional job-related duties as assigned or as necessary to support operational success.

Essential FunctionsThe Field Operations Manager must be able to perform the essential functions of this position, with or without reasonable accommodation.

  • Plan, prioritize, and execute work assignments by applying company policies, operational data, and available resources.
  • Collaborate effectively with managers, supervisors, field staff, customers, and business partners to meet project objectives.
  • Communicate expectations, progress updates, and project information clearly and consistently.
  • Identify improvement opportunities and recommend solutions to enhance efficiency, safety, and performance.
  • Adapt to changing conditions, challenges, and feedback while maintaining project continuity.
  • Partner with the HR Manager and Superintendent to ensure timely completion of personnel actions, including performance reviews, reprimands, and terminations.
  • Oversee the training program and development of all staff electricians.
  • Forecast future manpower needs based on project schedule.
  • Manage and coordinate project resources, including manpower, tools, and equipment.
  • Oversee job progress, enforce safety procedures, and ensure proper use and care of equipment.
  • Ensure all jobs are adequately staffed to meet production and schedule requirements.
  • Review employment applications, conduct interviews, and extend job offers for electrician positions.
  • Participate in post-project reviews to identify lessons learned and areas for continuous improvement.

  • Holds a valid TDLR Registered Journeyman or Master Electrician License.

Work Environment & Schedule

  • Regular work schedule is Monday through Friday, between 7:00 AM and 5:00 PM.
  • Additional hours, including evenings and weekends, may be required based on project demands.
  • Position requires working in various outdoor and indoor environments, including exposure to heat, cold, rain, snow, and other weather conditions.
