Position Overview

This Field Application Engineer role drives business growth for a defined portfolio or product line through strategic customer engagement and strong technical leadership. The position focuses on leading technical aspects of sales campaigns, supporting customer evaluations and deployments, and ensuring customer success through close collaboration with sales, product, and support teams.

As a senior technical contributor, this role works with multiple levels of customer management, coordinates cross-functional resources, and serves as a core mentor and trainer for other Field Application Engineers.

Key Responsibilities
• Build trusted relationships with customer stakeholders across engineering and management levels.
• Lead technical discovery to understand customer requirements, design flows, and competitive challenges.
• Deliver clear, compelling technical presentations showcasing Siemens EDA solutions and cross-platform value.
• Lead technical aspects of sales campaigns, including evaluations, pilot projects, and value positioning.
• Coordinate cross-functional resources across Sales, Product, Support, and Services to ensure successful execution.
• Drive product adoption by defining methodologies, optimizing workflows, and supporting deployments.
• Translate technical outcomes into business value and provide input on solution configuration and licensing.
• Support customers through deployment challenges and ensure long-term success and satisfaction.
• Mentor and train other Field Application Engineers and contribute to team enablement.
• Maintain current expertise on Siemens EDA solutions, competitive technologies, and go-to-market strategies.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Education & Experience
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, with 5+ years of relevant experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong understanding of customer design flows and the ability to map Siemens EDA solutions to optimize those workflows.
• Proficiency with EDA tools, methodologies, and design environments.
• Experience extending or integrating tools through scripting, APIs, or environment configuration.
• Ability to articulate and position cross-platform and cross-portfolio solutions to address customer challenges.
• Knowledge of competitive EDA environments and the ability to differentiate solutions based on technical value.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at multiple levels.
• Proven ability to build customer relationships and collaborate cross-functionally to drive successful evaluations and deployments.

This position will be subject to U.S. export control requirements under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). Employment is contingent on either verifying the U.S. Person status or obtaining any necessary export license.

The pay range for this position is 146,700 - 293,400 annually with a target incentive of 20 of the base salary. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
