Overview

The Field Access Director, Dermatology, develops the overall Field Access Manager strategy and leads the field access manager team. The Director collaborates cross functionally with other members of the Patient Access Services Team, market access, product strategy, training, and Medical Affairs.

Essential Functions of the Job (Key responsibilities):
• Direct oversight of Field Access Managers (FAMs)
• Recruit, on-board, lead and empower an experienced and talented team of Field Access Managers to support Opzelura and future Derm launch products
• Foster and inspire a collaborative, inclusive and high performing team culture that inspires encourages accountability and embraces innovation with a purposeful sense of urgency.
• Provide regular performance feedback, coaching and professional development to team members.
• Partner with the Director of FAM Training to help develop training curriculum for the team focused on proactive HCP education, case management and compliance, access, distribution, and affordability, as well as disease and product knowledge.
• Serve as the escalation point for regional access and reimbursement challenges. Monitor, analyze, and triage situations which may adversely impact patient access to therapy.
• Serve as access and reimbursement network subject matter expert on Incyte dermatology products.
• Partner with ED, Patient Access in the development of strategy, tactics and messaging that align to Market Access priorities as well as in the creation of key performance metrics. Help develop business rules, standard operating procedures and working norms.
• Utilize analytics and reporting dashboards to identify access and reimbursement issues w/in the region and collaborate closely with leadership from Sales, Marketing and Market Access in the development of strategic solutions and action plans.
• Execute business in accordance with the highest ethical, legal, and compliance standards, including timely and successful completion of all required training. Deliver consistent guidance during team calls, field rides and meeting engagement to ensure team is compliantly and effectively leveraging tools and materials to educate healthcare professionals.

Qualifications (Minimal acceptable level of education, work experience, and competency)
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. Advanced degree, or clinical license preferred.
• 7+ years of pharmaceutical/biotech experience and 5+ year of reimbursement experience preferred.
• 3+ years leading a field reimbursement team, experience in retail & specialty pharmacy and dermatology preferred
• Extensive relevant experience of which three years are experience in retail pharmacy and dermatology disease state.
• Minimum of 3 years in management capacity.
• Experience in dermatology coverage and competitive launch experience, including a strong understanding of and (passion instead of respect?) for patients, providers, patient advocates and health care providers.
• Experience working with pharmacy distribution services and demonstrated expertise in co-pay and patient access support programs.
• Proven ability to identify key access and reimbursement barriers to treatment and design effective resolution plans
• Proven ability to thrive in both an independent setting and in a cross functional / team environment.
• Strong clinical knowledge as it relates to payer approval process, and solid business acumen.
• Strong organizational, problem solving and project management skills.
• Success exhibiting peer leadership, mentorship and coaching to new hires as well as the rest of the team.
• Demonstrate competence with salesforce.com CRM use, Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and excellent follow through.
• Ability to travel within the US, with accommodations as needed, up to 40%
