Pay Range: $34.89 - $50.63 per hour

Summary:
The Faculty & Provider Recruiter plans, coordinates, implements, and directs all activities for the recruitment and hiring of primary care and specialty care physicians and advanced practice providers for the Rush System. This position advises and collaborates with senior management within the organization with regard to physician and advanced practice provider recruitment and retention, staffing budgetary compliance, hiring strategies, search/selection committee management, and recruitment. The Faculty & Provider Recruiter must maintain key working relationships with the Rush University Medical Center, Rush Oak Park Hospital, and Rush Copley Medical Center: Department Heads, Primary and Specialty Care, Clinic Chiefs of Professional Services, Hospital, Clinic and Departmental Administrative Management, administrative and support staff, Rush University Medical Center residency and fellowship programs, regional and national physician associations and societies, independent recruitment firms (temporary and permanent provider staffing), and external vendors (ie., advertising agencies, moving companies, realtors). Exemplifies the Rush mission, vision and values and acts in accordance with Rush policies and procedures.

• Bachelor's Degree or may accept 7+ years of progressively responsible healthcare experience in place of degree
• Three years' experience in a related field or related healthcare background in physician or provider recruitment and physician practice management in either a community hospital or academic setting.
• History of working closely with physicians in a related healthcare business discipline.
• Demonstrated effective communication and negotiation skills•
• Effectively work and communicate with all disciplines and levels of professionals.
• Ability to work independently.
• Strong organizational and complex process management abilities.
• Ability to think strategically and understand role in the organization's strategy.
• Excellent computer skills, including at least the operation of spread sheet, word processing software, in order to develop budgets and other management materials necessary for the program.

Responsibilities:
1. Advise and strategize with the Medical Director, Associate Medical Directors, Department Heads, Regional Assistant Medical Directors, Chiefs of Professional Services, Regional/Clinic Site Managers, and Administrative Directors regarding recruitment, candidate interview and hiring processes for Rush faculty and providers.
2. Develop, plan, implement and manage all methods to generate candidates, including national/local/Internet advertising, direct mail, resident-related events and activities, marketing and promotional materials, and website development and maintenance. Develop and maintain the provider on-line application system and process.
3. Manage all aspects of Rush faculty and provider recruitment and hiring. This includes screening and responding to candidate inquiries; contacting and discussing opportunities, candidate qualifications and best clinic/practice match; presenting candidate to Department Head/clinic/department for employment consideration; overseeing preparation of itinerary and interview site visit(s) processes; following up with candidate/department to determine continued interest; negotiating terms of employment; generating offer and employment letters; initiating post-hiring processes with internal onboarding team; coordinating household moving process with candidate and vendors.
4. Provide consultative faculty and provider recruitment services to internal Rush customers (ie., Department Heads, Chiefs of Professional Services, VP) and external customers (ie., affiliated clinics and healthcare organizations). This involves marketing the Medical Affairs recruitment services, including strategies and interview processes, methods to generate candidate leads, and negotiation of independent recruitment firm contracts and candidate contracts.
5. Develop and implement an annual Rush faculty and provider recruitment and retention plan. This may include coordinating physician recruitment and retention activities; selecting and attending national and local medical conferences; planning and attending resident recruitment activities and events; developing marketing brochures and promotional pieces; networking with local and national colleagues through the Illinois Staff Physician Recruiters Association (ISPR) and the Association for Advancing Physician and Provider Recruitment (AAPPR); and attending related educational functions.
6. Provide consultative service regarding budgetary guidelines as they relate to: consulting with Associate Medical Directors regarding the addition of positions to departments under their supervision; collaborating with Department Heads and Chiefs of Professional Services regarding the ability to hire versus clinic/department budget; developing and placing associated advertising; advising Department Heads in candidate salary offer negotiations; negotiating candidate household moving estimates with national moving companies; etc.

7. Act as a strategic partner to hiring Faculty Physicians and Advanced Practice Providers in several Service Lines including Cardiology, Vascular Surgery, Endocrinology, Nephrology and Infectious Diseases.
