Job Description

We are looking for a driven and analytical Broker to join our Caribbean team within the Property, Natural Resources, and Construction segment. In this role, you will partner with broking, actuarial, and modeling teams to design and place facultative reinsurance solutions that help clients manage risk and improve capital efficiency.

You'll work closely with clients and reinsurers, lead placement activities, and coordinate across internal teams to deliver high-quality, timely outcomes. The Role

We are currently looking to hire a Broker for our operation in the Caribbean.

Responsibilities:
  • Work with the broking team, actuaries, and cat modelers to analyze insurance risks in order to advise clients on facultative reinsurance structures to mitigate downside risk and improve capital efficiency.
  • Negotiate and manage the placement of facultative reinsurance utilizing markets interested in underwriting Caribbean Risks
  • Manage the coordination of underwriting and claims audits of insurance clients.
  • Ensure company, market and client-related documentation is issued (internally and externally) accurately and on time.
  • Comply with external and internal regulatory and statutory policies, procedures and regulations.
  • Coordinate internal resources, such as analytics, contracts and client services to provide solutions to client(s).
  • Meet with senior managers of client companies to present materials.
  • The candidate will be expected to join the Property, Natural Resources and Construction Segment participating on the development of our global production strategy.
  • Research on industry topics and the development of content to be shared with Clients and Prospects


Qualifications

The Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 3 - 8 years of work experience in the insurance or reinsurance industry.
  • Experience required in developing and giving strategy presentations to clients, reinsurers, and internal groups.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
