Description
As we continue to grow, we are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented
Assistant Controller to join our finance team at our Northwest Houston facility.
This position plays a key role in supporting the Controller and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the company's financial operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong accounting knowledge, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities- Assist the Controller with the preparation and analysis of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
- Maintain compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and financial procedures.
- Assist with internal and external audits and serve as a liaison with auditors as needed.
- Perform account reconciliations and review financial records for accuracy and completeness.
- Maintain organized and accurate accounting documentation and records.
- Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
- Prepare and submit required business reporting, including Census, ISN, and other regulatory or customer reporting requirements.
- Assist with process improvements and other special projects within the accounting and finance department.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of three (3) years of corporate accounting experience, preferably within a small- to mid-sized organization.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and internal controls.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
- Experience with ERP/accounting systems; Sage Intacct experience is a plus.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across departments.
Schedule- Full-time, on-site position
- Monday through Friday
- 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Salary Description
$80,000+, based on experience
