We are committed to building a diverse and inclusive team and encourage applications from candidates of all backgrounds. We are seeking a talented and motivated Facility Plant Engineer to join our team.

In this role, you will lead the planning, optimization, and continuous improvement of site-wide HVAC, utility, and energy systems. These systems include, but are not limited to, air handling units, dust collection, purified water, compressed air, nitrogen, chilled and hot water systems, steam, municipal water and sewer, and purchased utilities.

You will provide technical leadership in system operations, troubleshooting, and performance optimization, while coordinating maintenance and upgrades to enhance reliability. Additionally, you will apply sound engineering principles to support the design, implementation, and commissioning of new equipment and infrastructure.

The role also involves collaboration with external engineering firms and vendors to support capital projects, facility upgrades, and operational improvements, ensuring successful project delivery aligned with business and engineering objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with engineering leadership to support the design, specification, construction, startup, and validation of HVAC, utility, and energy systems for capital and upgrade projects. Provide technical expertise, support inspections, and assist with successful project handoff.
  • Manage and lead mid-level complexity projects, identifying innovative solutions and clearly communicating business value. Track and report progress to ensure delivery against scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Research and evaluate emerging technologies, processes, and continuous improvement opportunities related to HVAC, utilities, and energy systems. Implement solutions aligned with site performance metrics and strategic goals.
  • Support site-wide engineering forums and contribute to the development and adherence to standards, processes, and tools that promote consistency, efficiency, and quality.
  • Monitor HVAC and utility systems to ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and internal specifications. Promote and apply good engineering practices in all project, maintenance, and operational activities.
  • Maintain a validated state of control for HVAC and utility systems by ensuring proper compliance management, accurate as-built documentation, and system records.
  • Represent and defend the operational status and compliance of regulated systems during inspections or interactions with regulatory agencies.
  • Contribute to infrastructure master planning by providing technical insight into HVAC, utility, and energy system strategies.
  • Provide technical support for system maintenance and repairs, including root cause analysis, incident investigations, and troubleshooting across mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and control systems. Use data-driven methods to develop and implement effective solutions.
  • Support energy management initiatives by identifying energy-saving opportunities, leading improvement projects, and promoting lifecycle cost optimization. Stay informed on evolving regulations, technologies, and sustainability best practices.
  • Maintain regular onsite attendance and participate in a rotating 24/7 on-call support schedule as needed.
