A Day in the Life:In the position of Facilities Manger, you will be responsible for preserving the good condition of infrastructure, building maintenance and ensure facilities are safe and well-functioning.
The Impact You'll Make:- Manage the upkeep of equipment and supplies to meet health and safety standards. Conduct regular walk throughs and inspections of the facilities, survey and monitor building conditions. Inspect buildings' structures to determine the need for repairs or renovations.
- Negotiate contracts with vendors for facility related projects. Oversee the work of contractors to ensure facilities maintenance needs are met (electrical, painting, plumbing, heating/cooling, ventilation, roofing, security, etc.).
- Monitor vendor adherence to contractual obligations and evaluate service quality to uphold standards.
- Handle multiple internal and externally sponsored projects and daily activities, manage to meet deadlines, and develop and track plans on how to accomplish departmental and distribution goals
- Review utilities consumption and develop plans to minimize costs in partnership with related stakeholders. Keep financial and non-financial records
- Supervisor, mentor, and assign duties to department employees and vendors.
- Coordinate and resolve requests and concerns of employees and management in a professional and timely manner.
- Handle multiple internal and externally sponsored projects and daily activities, manage to meet deadlines, and develop and track plans on how to accomplish departmental and distribution goals
Who You Are:- Prefer a Bachelor's Degree in the field of Business Administration, Engineering, or related field of study
- Additional Experience Desired: More than 5 years of experience in multi-site and warehouse facilities
- Additional Experience Desired: Between 3-5 years of experience in facilities management
- Computer Skills Desired: Proficient with Microsoft Office
- Preferred Certifications: Must have a valid driver's license and meet the Company's driving insurability requirements.
- Additional Knowledge or Skills to be Successful in this role: Familiar with building codes and design principals of architectural, electrical, plumbing, heating, ventilation, air-conditioning and mechanical systems.
