FACILITIES SAFETY PROFESSIONAL
Location: Peekskill NY
Salary: $90K ++ (Depending on Experience)

NO RELOCATION OFFERED SHOULD BE A HUDSON VALLEY OR CLOSE TO RESIDENT.

A stable and reputable company is seeking an Facilities Safety Professional WITH EHS to support and maintain environmental, health, safety, and facility operations programs This role is responsible for helping ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, company safety policies, and facility maintenance standards while promoting a safe, clean, and efficient workplace environment. The position works closely with management, maintenance personnel, vendors, and employees to support safety initiatives, coordinate training, maintain documentation, and oversee facility-related projects and repairs.

Qualifications
  • 2-5 years of EHS, facilities, manufacturing, or related experience.
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations and workplace safety practices.
  • Manufacturing industry experience strongly preferred.
  • in Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Safety, Facilities Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • Strong organizational, documentation, and project management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate across all levels of the organization.
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred.
  • First Aid/CPR certification preferred.
  • Experience working in ISO 9001, AS9100, ISO 14001, and/or ISO 45001 environments preferred.
  • Experience coordinating contractors, vendors, and facility service providers.
  • Forklift certification knowledge or experience is a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Safety, Facilities Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field preferred.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support and maintain FACILITIES EHS programs to ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety policies.
  • Conduct safety inspections, hazard assessments, incident investigations, and maintain safety documentation.
  • Coordinate employee safety training, emergency drills, and compliance programs including LOTO, PPE, Hazard Communication, and Emergency Action Plans.
  • Monitor workplace safety performance, maintain chemical inventories, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Coordinate facility maintenance, preventive maintenance schedules, and building systems including HVAC, plumbing, lighting, fire protection, and security.
  • Work with outside vendors and contractors on facility repairs, maintenance services, and improvement projects.
  • Maintain facility records, permits, service contracts, and support waste disposal, recycling, and general facility operations.

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to walk throughout the facility for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
  • Ability to work in both office and manufacturing environments.
  • Ability to respond to emergencies and facility issues as needed.
