About The Role:Lead the planning, design, and execution of facility modification projects within manufacturing and laboratory environments that support medical device production and research operations. Responsible for delivering projects on schedule and within budget while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and minimizing disruption to business operations.
Work Model & Sponsorship:This role is on-site at our Maple Grove, Minnesota location, requiring employees to work from the office full time. Boston Scientific will not offer sponsorship or take over sponsorship of an employment visa for this position at this time.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:- Achieve detailed mechanical understanding of all infrastructure supporting medical device manufacturing and lab areas
- Gathers and reviews data concerning facility or equipment specifications, company or government restrictions, required completion date, and construction feasibility
- Develop and manage end-to-end project plans for facility modifications (scope, schedule, cost, risk)
- Coordinate shutdown planning for active manufacturing environments to enable upgrades
- Manage daily work order requests for minor facility modifications such as equipment moves, utility changes, etc
- Map current state building conditions and maintain as-built facility drawings
- Track spend vs. forecast and manage change orders
- Manage A/E firms, general contractors, and specialty trades
- Ensure construction aligns with design intent, specs, and schedule
- Responsible ensuring quality compliance of controlled areas and systems in alignment with FDA regulations, global standards, site processes, and industry standards
Required Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree
- Highly self-motivated and execution-focused
- Proven history of leadership characteristics
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Ability to collaborate across many disciplines
- Comfortability working through and within change
- Experience working in a large business setting across many departments and disciplines
- Ability and interest in fast-paced role that changes priorities quickly
Preferred Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in engineering or project management
- 2-3 years of experience in facilities and/or a manufacturing environment
- Bachelor's degree in Facilities engineering
- Experience with computer-aided drafting tools, AutoCAD
- Experience qualifying facilities infrastructure used for medical device manufacturing
- Experience utilizing lean manufacturing tools
- Experience driving and managing process change
