Full Job Description
Zaber is looking for an organized and people-focused Facilities Manager to help scale our manufacturing and office systems as our team grows. You'll proactively ensure the Facilities and Office Team runs smoothly day to day, providing structure to the team, and coordinating significant changes like renovations and moves.

Your team includes one Office Manager and has recently grown to three Facilities Coordinators. You'll bring strong organizational, people, and project management skills to elevate the team's systems, ensuring it's equipped for its current size and prepared for future growth. Sometimes, a sign of our success is when people don't notice our work - when the temperature is just right, nothing leaks or squeaks, new employee workspaces get assembled, and the coffee is well-stocked.

You'll be key to ensuring the entire company has a comfortable, functional, and efficient workspace. Your efforts will directly support every department, helping maintain an environment where everyone can do their best work and fostering a positive company culture through well-executed events and reliable infrastructure.
As Facilities Manager, you'll be responsible for:
  • Leading and supporting Facilities and Office Team members, including facilitating effective team meetings and one-on-ones.
  • Representing the team in company-wide decisions and discussions and ensuring commitments to the rest of the company are met.
  • Fostering smooth communication and functioning within the team and with other departments, proactively resolving and preventing conflicts.
  • Developing and improving processes, scaling workflows as both the team and company grow.
  • Facilitating key decisions about facility and office infrastructure, balancing the needs of specific teams with overall company benefit through cost-benefit analysis.
You're the ideal Facilities Manager if you have:
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in facilities management, including setting up processes, maintenance, decision-making, ticketing systems, stakeholder communication, and project management.
  • Managed a team and scaling processes as the team grows.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including feedback, delegation, collaboration, coaching, meeting facilitation, and conflict resolution.
  • Planning and made decisions around a variety of building systems, such as electrical, plumbing, compressed air, office/industrial workstations, storage systems, HVAC, and utilities.
  • Experience with government permitting processes, either directly or as a stakeholder through a supplier.
  • Managed relationships and projects with design-build or construction management firms for renovations.
We'd be excited to hear if you also have any of the following Facilities Manager experience:
  • Hands-on work with building systems (electrical, plumbing, HVAC, etc.)
  • Asset management
  • Supporting a manufacturing environment
  • Safety
  • Space planning
  • Leasing
Facilities Manager Wage:
  • The starting wage for the role is $46-$70/hour, depending on experience.
