Responsibilities

  • Monitor and ensure safety and cleanliness of all interior areas.
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs, including HVAC restarts and handyman tasks.
  • Manage relationships with janitorial services and other outside vendors.
  • Act as main contact for inspections and services from contractors.
  • Handle daily operations by managing maintenance requests through a Helpdesk System.
  • Create detailed reports on facility maintenance, repairs, and safety issues.
  • Prepare facilities for changing weather conditions.
  • Collaborate with management on budget planning for facility needs.
  • Serve as Site Safety Officer, maintaining fire systems and conducting safety inspections.

Full Job Description
Position: Facilities Manager

Salary Range: $90,000-$125,000

Location: Baltimore, MD (On-site)

Job Overview:

The Facilities Manager maintains and oversees the company's office and clinical space to ensure that the workspace is safe and functional. Their duties include negotiating contracts with service providers, inspecting facilities to meet safety regulations and coordinating renovations and updates.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitoring the safety and cleanliness of all interior areas.
  • Monitor and perform routine cleaning, maintenance on facilities and making repairs as needed to include but not limited to:
    • Manual restarting of HVAC units when necessary
    • Handyman Activities - light bulb replacement, painting, ceiling tile replacement, sink snaking, furniture assembly, light construction activities
  • Manage cleaning/janitorial service companies.
  • Point of contact for routine inspections and services with outside vendors and/or contractors (i.e., Pest Control, HVAC, Electricians, Plumbers, UM Building Management, etc.).
  • Maintaining day-to-day operations of facilities, such as delegating or completing maintenance orders upon request via Facilities Helpdesk System.
  • Creating reports on maintenance, repairs, safety, and other occurrences for supervisor and/or other relevant team members.
  • Preparing facilities for changing weather conditions.
  • Collaborating with upper management on budgeting for facility's needs.
  • Act as Site Safey Officer:
    • Maintain any FM-200 Fire Suppression Systems, Dry Sprinkler Systems and Fire Extinguishers
    • Point of contact for any safety inspections
    • Maintain the Facilities Safety Handbook
    • Maintain all MSDS documentation
    • Conduct regular inspections of Sharps containers and Biohazard trash containers
    • Post annual OSHA notices
