Job Title: Facilities Manager

Reports to: Director of Facilities

Location: Plano, TX

FLSA Status: Exempt

Compensation: $85,000 - $105,000

Summary:

The Senior Facility Manager is responsible for ensuring the success of the Mendocino Farms' Facilities Team and our operators. Reporting to the Director of Facilities, your main areas of responsibility will include maintaining the safety and maintenance of all Mendocino Farms buildings and properties, evaluating the effectiveness of vendors, and managing the coordination and completion of repair and maintenance, refreshes, and capital projects.

Responsibilities:
  • Administers and ensures rapid flow and completion of work orders through the Ecotrak CMMS Platform and maintains and coordinates work orders, proposals, and invoice approval through facilities service portal and approves Repair and Maintenance /Capital Expenditures Appropriations within guideline limits.
  • Routinely communicates with operations and responds and to calls Acts as a resource to the field regarding repair and maintenance issues, including troubleshooting a wide range of challenges from kitchen equipment breakdowns to plumbing and roofing. Assist operations with warranty issues.
  • Order additional parts and replacement parts as necessary from approved vendors.
  • Manage coordination and completion of capital projects, including the refresh program of existing stores. Develops scope of work, review capital appropriations for accuracy, obtain and analyze bids, presents packages for approval, selects appropriate contractors and vendors within established guidelines, and supervision of projects verifying budgets and time schedules are met.
  • Administers the MF Facility Walk Inspection Program and travels to designated location to inspect and visit MF properties as needed. Submit written report and findings. Work with vendors and operations to resolve facility issues. Confirm that restaurant properties are safe and maintained through inspections of buildings and property sites
  • Ability to supervise a Facilities and Project Coordinator; Manages workflow and ensures the
  • development of team members.
  • Evaluates effectiveness of vendors and compliance of service programs including repair, preventative maintenance, hood cleaning, fire suppression, sign maintenance, security and fire alarm and other facilities focus areas. Ensures qualified vendors in all areas.
  • Manage coordination of transition from new store opening to operations, including set up of new vendors and PM programs. Assist with training managers on new facility.
  • Maintain effective communication with restaurant managers, Operation Directors, and Director of Facilities regarding status of current work projects. Prepare written communications with various contractors, vendors, and corporate departments on maintenance and capital construction issues.
  • Maintain and update shared file of Company's computer system with current pictures of each restaurant (to include exterior, interior, and equipment) for access by the appropriate parties. Maintain both electronic and paper files on units.
  • Provides high-level information and analytics to Director of Facilities and Operations in the form of weekly updates and quarterly pourpoint decks. Strong use of analytics to make connections and informed replace/ repair decisions.


Requirements:
  • At least 3 years of multi-unit facilities and project management required; Experience with managing multiple projects simultaneously preferred; Multi-Unit Restaurant is required
  • Bachelor's degree, trade school, or CRFP from RFMA association preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings
  • Flexibility with work hours and travel - 40% travel may be required depending on project load. Work outside of regular business hours may be required
  • Leadership: demonstrated ability to lead projects and get results through others
  • Planning: Ability to think ahead and anticipate project challenges and mitigate risk
  • Management: Skill in assessing and prioritizing multiple tasks, projects, and demands in fast paced environment and possibly in multiple geographic regions
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office. Experience with Procore project management software a plus
  • Strong team player: Strong written and verbal communication skills. Continuous and effective cross-functional communication is a must


Travel Requirements
  • Moderate travel required to company locations and corporate headquarters in Dallas TX
  • Job duties require ability to work on-call status due to the operational hours of the locations and natures of repairs and projects
  • Flexibility to work remotely when not required at the corporate HQ
