PURPOSE AND SCOPE:

The Facilities Management Lead is responsible for driving the strategic direction, governance, and performance of facilities management across U.S. office, laboratory, and manufacturing environments.

This role ensures efficient, cost-effective, and high-quality delivery of facilities services through a robust vendor and contract management framework. The leader partners closely with Facilities Operations, Real Estate, and the Global Real Estate Center of Excellence (CoE) to drive standardization, leverage technology, and enhance portfolio performance.

This role reports to the Head of US Office, Lab & Plant Real Estate & Corporate Security.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Facilities Strategy & Portfolio Support

  • Support the development and execution of facilities management strategies aligned with business objectives and operational needs.


  • Enable efficient and cost-effective delivery of facilities services across offices, laboratories, and manufacturing sites.


  • Partner with Facilities Operations and business leaders to ensure consistent service levels and operational effectiveness.


Vendor & Contract Management Governance

  • Oversee the vendor and contract management framework for facilities services across the portfolio.


  • Establish and monitor service level agreements (SLAs), KPIs, and performance management standards.


  • Drive accountability, cost efficiency, and service quality across outsourced facilities providers and landlords.


  • Identify opportunities to optimize vendor models, consolidate services, and improve cost structures.


Performance Management & Continuous Improvement

  • Track and analyze facilities performance metrics, including service delivery, cost efficiency, and vendor performance.


  • Identify trends, risks, and opportunities to improve operational effectiveness.


  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance consistency, scalability, and service delivery.


Digital Enablement & CoE Partnership

  • Collaborate with the Global Real Estate Center of Excellence (CoE) to leverage data, digital tools, and technology solutions to transform facilities management.


  • Support implementation and adoption of systems related to facilities operations, asset management, and service delivery.


  • Use data and analytics to drive informed decision-making and improve portfolio performance.


  • Align with global standards, best practices, and innovation initiatives.


Leadership & Collaboration

  • Collaborate closely with Facilities Management, Construction, Transactions, Corporate Security, Procurement, Finance, and business leaders.


  • Partner with Procurement and Legal on vendor selection, contracting, and governance frameworks.


  • Serve as a strategic advisor on facilities performance, vendor strategy, and operational efficiency.


  • Support executive reporting and provide insights on facilities performance, risks, and opportunities.

  • Strong understanding of facilities operations and compliance requirements


  • Experience in multi-asset environments (offices, labs, manufacturing) preferred


  • Excellent stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills


  • Strong financial acumen and experience managing operating budgets
