Responsibilities
As the head of the Facility Management Team, you will be responsible for providing top-tier customer service to internal employees and ensuring that all AMS properties comply with local, state, and federal regulations. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in scaling operations, managing complex office expansions, and overseeing transition projects in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. Responsibilities: - Facility Management Strategy: Develop and implement comprehensive facility management strategies that align with business goals and operational efficiency. Drive continuous improvement and innovation in facility management processes, bringing top-tier FM strategy and industry best practices. - Budget & Resource Forecasting: Forecast resource requirements, develop annual budgets, and implement staffing models to meet operational demands. Ensure timely expense management and payment processing. - Policy & Process Development: Establish and maintain clear policies and processes that ensure efficiency, consistency, and compliance in all facility management activities. - Real Estate Strategy Alignment: Align real estate strategies with lease obligations, contractual agreements, and vendor service expectations. Build and maintain strong landlord relationships to support organizational objectives. - Facility Services & Operations: Lead comprehensive facility services to support and enhance business performance across our real estate portfolio in North and South America. - Building Maintenance & Engineering: Oversee building maintenance and engineering operations, ensuring adherence to industry best practices. Manage portfolio operating expenses and capital investments. - Asset Management: Oversee the management of physical assets, ensuring optimal use, lifecycle management, and cost-efficiency. Implement strategies to extend asset lifespan while reducing costs. - Sustainability Initiatives: Drive sustainability initiatives across the facilities, working to minimize the environmental footprint. Ensure compliance with sustainability regulations and contribute to achieving corporate sustainability goals. - Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with legal, procurement, finance, and accounting teams to optimize vendor performance through effective service agreements. Produce monthly reports to monitor activities, budgets, and KPIs. - EHS & Workplace Safety: Partner with Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) teams to promote safe, inclusive, and compliant workplaces. - Portfolio Strategy Evaluation: Evaluate portfolio strategies with planning teams, providing recommendations on real estate assets to support business growth. - Leadership Development: Develop and mentor the next generation of facility management leaders. Define and track progress toward team goals, objectives, and key deliverables. - Integrated Solutions & Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams (real estate, project management, space planning, EHS, physical security, IT, workplace, travel, and operations) to drive integrated solutions.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications: - 5+ years of leadership experience in facility management, overseeing large-scale real estate portfolios in North America. - Proven success in managing and developing high-performing teams. - Strong knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations related to building operations, safety, and compliance. - Experience in budget management, capital planning, and financial oversight. - Demonstrated expertise in leading complex office expansion, relocation, and transition projects. - Excellent stakeholder management skills, with experience working alongside senior leadership, vendors, and cross-functional teams. - Proficiency in facility management software and data reporting tools. Preferred Qualifications: - Experience managing real estate portfolios across both North and South America. - Expertise in contract negotiation, vendor management, and service-level agreement (SLA) enforcement. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions. - Background in sustainability practices and environmental regulations. - Bachelor's degree in facilities management, real estate, business administration, or a related field. A Master's degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CFM, FMP, LEED) are a plus. [For Pay Transparency]Compensation Description (Annually)
The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $117600 - $223200 annually.
Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
Benefits may vary depending on the nature of employment and the country work location.
