Full Job Description
At Atria, we are seeking a Facilities Engineering Manager to:
  • Lead all facilities engineering operations, serving as the primary technical point of contact for building systems, equipment, and infrastructure - addressing concerns with both precision and professionalism.
  • Develop and manage engineering relationships with building management teams, ensuring structural, mechanical, and systems-level issues are escalated and resolved appropriately.
  • Maintain detailed engineering documentation including maintenance logs, work orders, equipment service histories, incident reports, and compliance records.
  • Source, negotiate, and manage contractor and vendor relationships to ensure competitive pricing, SLA adherence, and quality of technical services.
  • Project Engineering: Partner with Project Managers on the design, planning, and execution of complex infrastructure upgrades, system installations, and capital improvement projects - providing hands-on engineering oversight and technical consulting throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Own and manage preventive and corrective maintenance programs for all mechanical, electrical, plumbing (MEP), HVAC, and medical-grade equipment across the facility.
  • Maintain 24/7 on-call availability to respond to building alarms, equipment failures, and emergency situations - acting as the first line of technical response.
  • Review and enforce compliance of all service contracts and vendor agreements against facility engineering standards, regulatory requirements, and operational needs.
  • Continuously evaluate building systems performance and recommend improvements to maximize efficiency, reliability, and safety.
Salary: $110,000 - $130,000 Requirements Comprehensive theoretical and operational job knowledge in designated specialty required
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Facilities Engineering, or a related technical discipline (Required)
  • 5+ years of experience in facilities engineering, building systems management, or a related engineering role - preferably in a healthcare, life sciences, or high-end commercial environment
  • Deep working knowledge of MEP systems, HVAC, BMS/BAS platforms, and medical equipment infrastructure
  • Demonstrated experience managing capital projects, engineering upgrades, and multi-vendor technical environments
  • Strong command of engineering documentation, preventive maintenance software (CMMS), and compliance frameworks (NFPA, OSHA, Joint Commission standards a plus)
  • Proven leadership and analytical problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex systems issues under pressure
  • Highly detail-oriented with the ability to independently manage multiple engineering priorities and work orders simultaneously
  • Ability to maintain flexible hours and on-call availability in support of a 24/7 clinical operation
  • 8-10 years of experience in facility management
