HGA is seeking a
Facilities Engineer to support the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of a manufacturing facility in
Pollock, Louisiana through engineering expertise, project management, continuous improvement initiatives, and asset reliability programs. This position partners with operations, maintenance, environmental, and safety teams to optimize plant performance, improve equipment reliability, reduce downtime, and support capital improvement projects, playing a key role in supporting operational excellence, employee safety, environmental stewardship, and sustainable manufacturing practices.
Key Responsibilities- Partner with operations, maintenance, environmental, and safety teams to optimize plant performance
- Support asset reliability programs to improve equipment uptime and reduce downtime
- Assist in developing and implementing engineering solutions to improve productivity and reduce operating costs
- Support capital improvement projects from planning through execution
- Identify and implement energy efficiency improvements
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across the facility
Required Qualifications- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related engineering discipline
- Minimum of 3 years of engineering experience in an industrial manufacturing environment
- Ability to work in industrial manufacturing environments, including operating areas, maintenance shops, and construction projects
- Ability to climb stairs and ladders and work around heavy industrial equipment
- Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Availability for occasional evening, weekend, or shutdown support
- Ability to travel periodically between facilities as needed
Preferred Qualifications- Experience in lumber, plywood, panel products, sawmill, wood products, paper, chemical, or other heavy manufacturing industries
- Experience managing capital projects
- Experience with industrial automation, PLCs, VFDs, instrumentation, and process controls
- Knowledge of predictive maintenance technologies, including vibration analysis, thermal imaging, lubrication programs, and condition monitoring
