Where you'll be:

This position will be based in Springfield, TN to support Press Team on 2nd shift.

All about the role:

The Press Manager is required assist the director in all aspects of the department. Main duties include oversight of a large, fast paced cavity fabrication, enameling, silkscreen and gluing areas. This position includes production, scheduling, quality and people management along with working closely with assembly customers, abiding by true lean manufacturing principles.

This position will be based in Springfield, TN.

What you'll do:
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety performance across all operations.
  • Reduce operational waste, including scrap, rework, and downtime, to improve efficiency and cost performance.
  • Lead departmental continuous improvement projects to strengthen operational execution and overall business results.
  • Improve first-pass yield and quality of finished components through process optimization and problem-solving.
  • Increase productivity and operational effectiveness within the assigned manufacturing area.
  • Reduce consumption of environmental resources, including water, natural gas, and electricity, while supporting sustainability goals.
  • Partner with supervisors and hourly team members to foster continuous learning, skills development, and employee engagement.
  • Ensure compliance with Electrolux Manufacturing System (EMS) standards and applicable ISO 9000 and ISO 14000 requirements.
  • Provide site-wide support for special projects, with a focus on data management, analysis, and consolidation.
  • Plan, coordinate, and implement engineering changes, ensuring all documentation is accurate, complete, and compliant.
  • Collaborate with Production and Purchasing teams to manage materials affected by engineering changes and prevent unnecessary procurement.
  • Maintain clear communication with key engineering stakeholders regarding the status and progress of engineering change implementation.
  • Coordinate inventory rotation strategies to minimize scrap, rework, and obsolescence associated with engineering changes.


Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field, preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience overseeing finishing, press and tooling operations in a multi-shift manufacturing environment.
  • Experience working within a Six Sigma and/or other structured quality or lean manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated success in driving productivity improvements and implementing waste reduction initiatives.
  • Proven ability to achieve long-term business objectives and lead projects that drive organizational change across all levels of a manufacturing facility.
