Full Job Description
WHERE THIS SITS
One of three newly created positions being added across key distribution markets, with each Manager owning the day-to-day operational presence for an assigned location.
Report directly to the Director of Distribution Operations and serve as his local extension when he is not onsite.
Operate as the primary connection between the organization, its third-party distribution partner, transportation operations, and the locations supported by your DC.
This is an individual contributor leadership role with no direct reports, but significant influence across the operation.
Work onsite and alongside distribution and transportation leadership, giving you direct visibility into what is happening on the ground rather than managing the operation from a distance.
Partner across multiple levels of the organization while having the independence to solve issues locally and escalate the right priorities to senior leadership.
A BACKGROUND THAT FITS
3 to 7+ years of experience across distribution, transportation, logistics, supply chain, or 3PL operations.
Experience across both distribution and transportation is ideal, but a strong background in either area can translate well.
Comfortable operating in a high-volume environment and understanding how warehouse and transportation decisions impact service.
Experience working with third-party providers or outsourced operations and the ability to influence performance without direct authority.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to pull information from systems, understand operational KPIs, identify root causes, and turn data into a clear story.
An operator who wants to be close to the business, ask questions, solve problems, and identify issues before they become bigger ones.
Someone who can balance being collaborative and relationship-driven with being confident enough to challenge performance and drive accountability.
Retail, grocery, foodservice, or consumer products distribution experience is a plus, but not required.
