Our Global Treasury Advisory Services team is a dedicated and market-leading national practice, supported by treasury professionals in a diverse range of areas. Whether it's for public or private business, financial services organizations, government agencies or not-for-profit organizations, we're always ready with tailored treasury insights our clients can rely on, every time. As a Treasury Manager you'll play a leading role in that goal, driving growth and managing delivery teams using your treasury process experience.

The opportunity

It's a highly collaborative global network, where resources, methodologies, tools and trends are constantly updated and shared to develop simple answers to complex treasury challenges. What's more, you'll integrate seamlessly with other EY functions to effectively provide for our clients, so you can expect to build relationships with contacts across the business. We have a broad range of capabilities to assist clients with risk management, funding and capital management, financial risk management, cash flow forecasting and other financial analytics, Treasury technology, post-merger integration, organizational design, cash management, and finance transformation.

As a Manager in our Global Treasury Advisory Services team, you will manage and execute these complex Treasury engagements. If you're looking for a diverse range of responsibilities with some of the most prestigious clients in multiple markets, you'll find that here.

Your key responsibilities

You're likely to balance your time between personally executing client engagements, developing our business and processes, and managing a varied pipeline. That will mean working on new projects, as well as extensions for existing products, so you'll be actively influencing a range of client relationships. We'll also look to you to coach, support, and manage internal resources and demonstrate professionalism while working in the client environment. You will be expected to provide supervision and mentoring to staff and serve as point person for technical questions. It's a strategic role in a rapidly growing area, where you'll use your treasury and corporate finance knowledge and experience, as well as your understanding of our products, services and colleagues to further expand our market share, expand our solution capability, and deliver exemplary execution on client engagements. Specific responsibilities would include, but not be limited to:
  • Lead and manage Treasury engagements as a senior team member to include project and resource planning, budget management, execution of work plans and client relationship management and ensure products/deliverables meet contract/work plan specifications and deadlines
  • Lead the proposal development process and participate in pursuit team for prospective treasury engagements, support and lead business development and practice development initiatives
  • Maintain a strong client focus by being responsive to client requests and developing/maintaining productive working relationships with client personnel.
  • Collaborate with the partner and client to determine a strategy that appropriately addresses risk and manages client expectations relating to deliverables, understanding the client's industry, key performance drivers, business trends and industry developments
  • Develop and maintain strong networks, both internally and externally, and work with other service lines in providing an integrated service delivery
  • Support the development of expanded client solutions in data and analysis, leveraging emerging technology and advanced analytics to deliver key insights to clients

  • Handling the proposal development process for prospective treasury engagement, while supporting in the development of new services and strategies
  • Supporting engagement planning, budgeting, execution and management
  • Creating process flows and design documents, workshops and tools
  • Overseeing end-user training and support
  • Building long-term relationships with our clients to discover their unique goals, ambitions and needs
  • Maintaining an up-to-date understanding of tools, practices, and trends in a wide range of areas, including in-house cash, bank structure, communications, account G/L structure, intercompany processes, liquidity planning and payments processing. Strong analytical and technical skills
  • Strong communication, presentation, client service and technical writing skills


To qualify for the role you must have
  • A bachelor's degree and 5 to 8 years of relevant work experience
  • Achieved, or be working towards a professional designation, such as CTP, CFA, CPA, FRM
  • A proven record of problem solving and analytical thinking within a global corporate treasury or consulting business
  • Advanced skills and experience with: Treasury organizational structure and transformation, financial risk management, cash flow forecasting, analytics, liquidity management, cash and bank relationship management, international treasury centers, debt and investment management, due diligence, governance and controls, carve outs, and hedge accounting
  • The confidence to train and mentor junior colleagues, providing the knowledge, skills and opportunities they need to excel
  • Excellent sales and influencing skills, and the ability to present credibly to senior clients and colleagues
  • Valid passport required; willingness and ability to travel internationally
  • The ability and willingness to travel and work in excess of standard hours when necessary
  • Access to reliable transportation to/from the EY office and client sites. A driver's license is strongly recommended as ride share and public transportation options may not be available in all locations


Ideally, you'll also have
  • A master's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, financial engineering, economics, information technology, information systems, engineering or another relevant discipline
  • Certified Treasury Professional qualification
  • CFA designation (or CFA candidate)
  • Consulting experience on complex projects
  • System selection and implementation experience

What we offer you
  • We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you'll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The base salary range for this job is:
    • New York City, Boston, and Washington DC Metro Areas, Washington State, and Southern California offices - $154,000 to $256,700
    • Bay Area California offices - $160,500 to $267,400
    • All other offices locations in the US, including Sacramento - $128,400 to $235,300
  • Individual salaries within these ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options.
  • Under our flexible vacation policy, you'll decide how much vacation time you need based on your own personal circumstances.
