Benefiting from EY's full spectrum of services, we've reimagined strategic consulting to work in a world of increasing complexity.

With deep functional and sector expertise, paired with innovative AI-powered technology and an investor mindset, we partner with CEOs, Boards, Private Equity and Governments every step of the way - enabling you to shape your future with confidence.

Within EY-Parthenon's Corporate Finance sub service line, the Decision Modeling and Analytics Team (DMA) is a provider of rigorous modeling and analytics solutions to help support the full spectrum of Strategy and Transactions offerings. Our work is often innovative and rapid (delivering solutions in weeks to a few months).

Changes in technology is reshaping the way we work. Analytics technologies and data science techniques allow greater amounts of data to be analyzed in a timely manner, cloud opens up the possibility of tapping into a much broader and advanced range of capabilities than was traditionally possible, and clients have an increasing appetite for leveraging tools and technology in decision making across the value chain.

Your key responsibilities

We are seeking data science professionals with experience of applying data visualization, statistical analysis, optimization, or machine learning to real world business problems.

  • Demonstrating in-depth technical capabilities and professional knowledge.
  • Maintaining long-term client relationships and networks and cultivating business development opportunities.
  • Using analytics technology tools and data science techniques to enhance the effectiveness of services provided and act as a leader in adopting new tools and techniques.

To qualify for the role, you must have
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business analytics, Data Science or equivalent; Masters preferred.
  • 3+ years of corporate/financial analytics experience.
  • Intermediate level of proficiency in SQL.

  • Experience of performing data science in SPSS, SAS, Azure Databricks, Python or R to solve business problems.
  • Experience of data visualization tools (Power BI preferred).
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with a high degree of comfort in speaking with senior executives at large companies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills paired with the ability to develop creative and efficient solutions.
  • Ability to manage own learning and contribute to domain knowledge building.
  • Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Keen interest in being at the intersection of business, technology, and analytics.
  • You must either reside in or be in a commutable distance to your office location for this position.
  • The ability and willingness to travel and work in excess of standard hours when necessary. In certain circumstances, travel may be required beyond your work location based on client and project needs.

Ideally, you will have
  • Being a subject matter expert on a particular area of business analytics is helpful.
  • Distinct customer focus and quality mindset; able to see from and sell to multiple viewpoints.
  • Knowledge of how to leverage firm-approved AI tools in a business setting, including Microsoft Copilot.
