Expert Software Engineer to join our team in
Herndon VA. This role supports the development and enhancement of mission-critical applications to strenghten our nation's cyber security.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:- Develop new features and enhancements to web applications that allow users to enter, search, and retrieve information
- Evaluate and integrate data sources as needed; be able to use various data sources and correlate data to answer specific questions
- Effectively apply good judgement and leadership within project scope and has experience mentoring two to three more junior developers
- Collaborate with team members regularly to discuss project status, dependencies, or project blockers so that any issues can be addressed early on
- Effectively communicate with fellow developers and occasionally with end-users
- Manage the development life cycle and deployment schedule and process
- Supply regular reports to stakeholder components
Minimum Qualifications:- High School Diploma and 15+ years programming experience
- Experience with Node.js
- Experience with SQL/PostgreSQL databases and writing complex queries
- Experience creating API endpoints or integrating with other teams' endpoints to exchange data in a fully authenticated and audited way
- Experience with Elasticsearch data management
- Experience working in a Linux-based development environment
Preferred Qualifications:- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or similar technical field
- 3+ years of recent experience coding in python
- Experience using Vue.js
- Experience with AWS cloud technologies, Kubernetes, and Docker containers
- Experience with the Assessment and Authorization (A&A) process
Clearance Requirements: Active TS/SCI with polygraph clearance is required
Physical Requirements: Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time
The projected compensation range for this position is $179,300.00-$318,400.00. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
