Job Description

  • Lead the structural stress analysis of primary and secondary aircraft structures (e.g., fuselage, wing, empennage, landing gear attachments, pylon, nacelles).
  • Perform static strength, fatigue, and damage tolerance analyses using both classical methods and finite element models.
  • Support the development and validation of structural designs in collaboration with design, manufacturing, loads, and systems teams.
  • Validate structural designs using classical hand calculations, FEM (Finite Element Modeling), and industry-standard tools (e.g., NASTRAN, Patran, HyperMesh, FEMAP, etc.).
  • Conduct trade studies and optimization for weight and performance improvements.
  • Provide technical guidance throughout the aircraft development lifecycle, including PDR/CDR, prototype build, and flight test.
  • Develop and review structural substantiation reports in support of FAA/EASA certification (Part 25 compliance).
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including DERs, regulators, suppliers, and OEM partners.
  • Mentor and review work of junior analysts; contribute to development of best practices and internal standards.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of materials, industry standards, and evolving analysis methods.

  • Previous interaction with FAA/EASA and working knowledge of the certification process.
  • Experience with aircraft OEMs or major Tier 1 suppliers.
