The Opportunity

Build the Future with Us - Join WSP's Applied Solutions team and play a pivotal role in delivering some of Ontario's most complex and impactful capital projects. Based in Southwestern Ontario, you will lead multidisciplinary engineering, design, EPCM, and construction management assignments across industrial, manufacturing, energy, transportation, municipal, and commercial sectors.

This role is ideal for a seasoned project leader who thrives in fast-paced environments, understands the realities of construction execution, and has successfully managed projects from concept development through design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and closeout. Working closely with clients, contractors, consultants, and technical specialists, you will help shape project outcomes while driving exceptional performance in safety, quality, schedule, cost, and client satisfaction.

Your Impact
  • Lead the successful delivery of complex engineering, EPCM, and construction management projects throughout the full project lifecycle.
  • Direct multidisciplinary teams of engineers, designers, consultants, contractors, and construction partners to achieve project objectives.
  • Develop and execute project strategies that align technical solutions, client expectations, commercial goals, and construction realities.
  • Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, risk registers, change management processes, and overall project governance.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, fostering trusted relationships and identifying opportunities to create long-term value.
  • Drive collaboration between design and construction teams to ensure practical, constructible, and cost-effective project solutions.
  • Champion a culture of health, safety, quality, and continuous improvement across all project activities.
  • Mentor and support developing project professionals while contributing to the continued growth of WSP's Applied Solutions practice across Ontario.

The Skills That Set You Apart
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive project management experience delivering engineering consulting, EPCM, owner's representative, or construction management projects.
  • Demonstrated success leading complex industrial, manufacturing, infrastructure, commercial, institutional, or project programs.
  • Strong understanding of engineering design processes, construction execution, procurement strategies, contract administration, and project controls.
  • Experience managing external consultants, contractors, subcontractors, and multidisciplinary technical teams in a client-facing environment.
  • Proven ability to manage project financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, scheduling, risk mitigation, and change management.
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to balance technical excellence, client expectations, project delivery requirements, and business objectives.
  • PMP designation, P.Eng., CET, Gold Seal, or equivalent professional credential is considered a strong asset.
  • Valid driver's license with the ability to travel throughout Canada and support project sites as required.
  • Strong proficiency in English and minimum working knowledge in French.

Compensation
  • AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT: $46.00 to $61.00
  • MB & ON: $42.00 to $57.80
  • NB, NL, NS, PEI & QC: $41.60 to $55.20
