Job Description:
The Expeditionary OSINT Instructor delivers lessons that provide intelligence professionals with electronic news gathering and video production, social media, digital graphic design, and digital multimedia exploitation. The Expeditionary OSINT Instructor will also provide training on the applicable laws, policies, and directives that govern open source information collections and exploitation. The Expeditionary OSINT Instructor serves as Training Specialist (subject matter expert (SME)) in the areas of open source intelligence, social media, and the dark web.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for researching, developing, adapting/revising, coordinating, and presenting lesson plans covering the designated learning objectives for the Expeditionary Open Source Intelligence (EOSINT) course
  • Assists with modification of course content as needed, and development of future courses as directed
  • Serves as Training Specialist (SME) as needed in course design and revision following Training Task Selection Boards (TTSBs) and course In Progress Reviews (IPRs)
  • Apply the latest instructional methodologies to meet highly customized student needs and conduct proficiency testing for skills evaluation
  • Prepares class schedules to include coordination with instructors and guest speakers
  • Conduct liaison with training and educational institutions, industry, independent research agencies, and federal activities to exchange ideas and obtain information on the latest techniques, tactics, procedures, and concept of operations for Open Source Intelligence exploitation and publicly available/commercially available information (PAI/CAI) development
  • Coordinates equipment, course material and classroom to ensure availability for courses on schedule
  • Coordinate with MCIA to develop, revise, and adapt assigned courses; prepare lesson plans and training materials based on course objectives along with MCIA and Marine Corps Intelligence Schools leadership
  • Encourage class attendance, participation, and conduct
  • Responsible for the improvement and modification of training for assigned courses under close supervision. Incumbent will maintain training records and develop training reports under the guidance of the supervisor or lead instructor

Required Qualifications:
  • Active TS/SCI clearance
  • 7+ years Intelligence experience
  • Demonstrate an ability to provide classroom instruction in the practical application PAI/CAI analysis and exploitation theories, practices, and technical requirements in addition to determining instructional approach, and developing course content and student evaluations
  • Ability to communicate written and oral information in a clear, concise, organized, and convincing manner for the intended audience, using correct English grammar, punctuation, and spelling
  • Adept at gathering information; organizing and maintaining information while determining its importance and accuracy, and communicating it by a variety of analytic methods regarding its value to decision-makers
