Responsibilities

  • Support Field Service and other teams with technical expertise in various tasks when necessary.
  • Manage course administration, including arrangements and responding to training inquiries.
  • Follow up on post-training activities to assess effectiveness and learner satisfaction.

Full Job Description
This position reports to:
Global Training Manager

The work model for the role is: Hybrid, Richmond, VA

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to design, develop and deliver technical trainings in person or remotely to participants across the globe. Each day, you will make sure to prepare highly qualified ABB and Channel Partner service personnel worldwide who are confident in their product knowledge, and ability to commissi on , servic e , and maintain Critical Power systems professionally and safely. Your focus will be the HiPerGuard MV UPS, UPS, STS, PDU, PCS and Battery Systems. You will also showcase your expertise by guaranteeing excellent customer service and securing high level of customer satisfaction through trainings.

You will be mainly accountable for:
  • Preparing and delivering training courses in classroom or on-site and following up on post- training day activities.
  • Developing course material for classroom and on-site training in your own area of responsibility and advising on updates needed in e-learning material.
  • Supporting Field Service team and other teams/units, when necessary, using their own expertise in technical support tasks and roles.
  • Facilitating in course administration through making arrangements and answering inquiries and proposals for training courses.

Qualifications for the role
  • Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering or related fields preferred PLUS 3 years experience in service operations, training, engineering or testing
  • Experience in the critical power field with roles in Training, Service, R&D, or Sales. Hands-on experience with power protection equipment is desirable.
  • Further education in adult teaching is preferred
  • You enjoy facilitating adult learning and communication. You possess a self-motivated mindset and solid communication skills
  • Ability to travel up to 20% (mainly domestic)
  • This position must be based in or near to Richmond, VA
  • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
