This position is based in Batesville, Mississippi, or the surrounding area. Candidates must be willing and able to relocate to the Batesville area if not currently located nearby.

Position Summary:

The Executive Vice President (EVP) is an executive development and succession role responsible for supporting the leadership and execution of the Operating Company's (OpCo's) business strategies and initiatives. While the EVP may initially have direct responsibility for specific functional areas, the role is designed to develop the leadership capabilities and business knowledge required to ultimately lead an entire Operating Company as President.

The EVP will gain broad expertise across all areas of the OpCo, including sales, procurement, operations, finance, human resources, transportation, warehouse and other areas of the business. The EVP will partner with the OpCo President and senior leadership team to drive business performance, develop talent, strengthen operational execution and achieve financial objectives.

Training & Development:

The role includes an initial training and development period at the Houston OpCo and other OpCos around the region. The training schedule will vary based on the candidate's current location. Relocation assistance is provided for the candidate's final destination.

Position Responsibilities:
  • Develops and implements operating policies, procedures and business strategies across assigned functional areas of the Operating Company.
  • Gains comprehensive knowledge and understanding of all functional areas of the OpCo and their related standard operating processes in preparation for future Operating Company President responsibilities.
  • Leads and manages assigned functional areas while partnering with other leaders across the OpCo to drive overall business performance.
  • Leads planning and budgeting processes for assigned functional areas and establishes current and long-range goals aligned with business objectives.
  • Reviews and analyzes financial reporting and statements to evaluate business performance and progress toward financial objectives.
  • Maintains accountability for profit, sales and expense management within areas of responsibility.
  • Provides leadership and direction for talent development, performance management, talent acquisition and succession planning.
  • Builds and maintains a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Identifies opportunities to improve systems, processes and operational effectiveness across the business.
  • Partners with the OpCo President and leadership team to develop and execute strategic initiatives.
  • Prepares for and assumes increasing responsibility for the overall leadership and performance of the Operating Company.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.


Required Qualifications

High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent Experience

6-10 Years successful senior management experience within the foodservice distribution industry

Demonstrated success leading a significant functional area of an Operating Company, such as sales, procurement or operations.

Demonstrated experience with P&L and financial management

Demonstrated ability to lead across multiple areas of a business and develop a broad understanding of Operating Company functions.

Demonstrated excellence in verbal and written communication skills

Ability and willingness to relocate to Batesville, Mississippi, or the surrounding area.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's or master's degree in business administration or related field of study

10+ Years successful senior management experience within the foodservice distribution industry.

Experience leading Sales and/or Operations.

Experience with multiple functional areas of an Operating Company.
