The opportunity

As an Executive Support Administrator (ESA) - Vice Chair you will provide extremely high-level, functionally specialized administrative support to Vice Chair executives of the firm. The work of the ESA is closely aligned and integrated with the specialized needs, operations, strategies and business objectives of these top executives and is a highly visible role. You'll manage confidential projects, perform various administrative activities, and have frequent interaction with internal and external clients. You'll also act as a daily ambassador of firm leadership.

Your key responsibilities
  • Support high level senior executives and act as trusted advisor
  • Possess and leverage superior knowledge of service line and operational role of executive
  • Develop workable and cost-effective solutions
  • Balance multiple priorities considering risk, importance, urgency, political impact and other linkages
  • Understand the key drivers affecting EY and our clients
  • Cultivate and nurture relationships with internal, global business and government leaders and their administrative staff to achieve goals
  • Balance multiple priorities considering risk, importance, urgency and political impact
  • Manage project plans to track milestones and deliverables
  • Independently compose, format and edit non-technical business documents which may include board meeting materials, presentations and reports
  • Protect confidential / proprietary information
  • Assist leaders and others to resolve conflicts and issues
  • Solicit a constant two-way flow of information from colleagues, customers and leaders
  • Set up and manage project plans
  • Manage complex calendars, domestic/international travel, events, meetings and conferences

To qualify for the role, you must have
  • Bachelor's degree in related discipline or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of 8 years of related work experience as an Executive or Administrative Assistant supporting senior leadership level executives in a large corporate environment or firm
  • Ability to work in an EY office or attend EY events
  • Flexibility, overtime required


Ideally, you'll also have
  • Proficiency in MS Office (e.g. Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Proficiency in MS SharePoint

What we offer you
  • We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you'll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $81,500 to $152,400. The base salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $97,800 to $173,100. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options.
  • Join us in our team-led and leader-enabled hybrid model. Our expectation is for most people in external, client serving roles to work together in person 40-60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project or year.
