Full Job Description
We are seeking an Executive Steward for the National Gallery of Art in Washington, DC.

Join a role where you'll play a vital part in the Culinary Leadership Team, overseeing the nonfood production areas that keep a high performing kitchen operating at its best. You'll manage the dish room, storage spaces, and utility areas while upholding exceptional standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and equipment care. You'll also take ownership of the inventory, organization, and distribution of essential banqueting items-including china, silver, glassware, and linen-ensuring the Culinary and Banquet teams are always fully supported. As the leader of the Stewarding Department, you'll guide a diverse team, maintain efficient workflow throughout the kitchen, and contribute directly to outstanding food preparation and service. In this role, you'll be a key partner in the overall food and beverage operation and an essential member of the Culinary Leadership Team.

Accountable for managing people, setting direction and deploying resources; typically is responsible for performance evaluation, pay reviews and hire/fire decisions. Results are primarily achieved through the work of others and typically depend on the manager's ability to influence and negotiate with parts of the organization. Progression within Career Band reflects acquisition of broad technical expertise, business and industry knowledge, and process and people leadership capabilities. Accountable for business, functional or operational areas, processes or programs, which may include dotted-line or matrixed management.

Pay Range: $77605 - $100430
