Position Summary:

Demonstrate the leadership and managerial skills necessary to achieve a positive environment for all community residents and staff; assure a productive, safe, and professional work environment for all community employees; inspire and foster a collaborative management team that understands and promotes its shared authority and responsibilities; promote a positive community image that will promote 100 percent occupancy; and operate a fiscally sound and efficient organization that produces adequate profitability.

Qualifications:

  • Have at least two years relevant management experience.
  • Demonstrate ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Must be appropriately licensed and/or certified as required by state or provincial regulations.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Management responsibilities, including but not limited to:


Ø Maintain resident, employee, and community information in strict confidence (with community management or other employees as necessary).

Ø Assure compliance with all federal, state or provincial, and/or local regulations.

Ø Assure adherence to community budget.

Ø Assure adherence to community guidelines, including but not limited to:
• Human Resources;
• Marketing;
• Dining;
• Health and Safety;
• Accounting, including account receivable, accounts payable, payroll, and general accounting;
• Maintenance and Housekeeping;
• Activities

Ø Assure resident, employee, or physical plant problems that arise after usual business hours are addressed promptly and effectively, either by being personally available by telephone or by assigning other appropriate staff to be similarly available.

Ø Perform staff duties necessary for immediate community operation in case of staffing problem.

Ø Assure Home Office is regularly informed of community status and particularly of any significant problems for which guidance is necessary.

Ø Assure positive relations between community and the community at large so they serve as resources for one another.

  • Resident and Family management responsibilities, including but not limited to:

Ø Assure needs of all residents are consistently addressed.

Ø Assure positive relationship with family member and/or significant others of residents so they feel confident that the needs of their loved ones are being addressed

  • Employee development and management responsibilities, including but not limited to:


Ø Assure a stable staff of optimal quality and quantity by recruiting, hiring, supervising, evaluating, counseling, and if necessary, terminating employees.

Ø Assure all employees are consistently educated and trained through new employee orientation and regular education and training classes, including all requirements of federal and state or provincial regulations.

Ø Effectively and dynamically lead employees, inspiring their confidence and motivating them to consistently perform their duties according to the highest standards.

Ø Assure an environment in which employees consistently feel valued and respected.

Other Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to all community policies and procedures.
  • Adhere to dress/appearance code. (Changes in attire may be permitted for special circumstances as directed by your supervisor).
  • Perform all assigned work for the agreed-upon wage, accepting no additional payment or gifts from residents, vendors, or others.
  • Promote resident advocacy and demonstrate excellent customer service skills.
  • Serve as a role model for other employees by displaying a responsible, cooperative, respectful, and positive attitude.
  • Represent the community in the community at large in a professional, courteous, and friendly manner.
  • Demonstrate ability to perform duties under time constraints and deadlines.
  • Attend education and training classes as required by state or provincial regulations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
