POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the general supervision of the Chief Executive Officer, is responsible for the oversight and integration of all Information Technology functions within the daily operations of the organization, including local area and wide area network administration, application use, software licensing, hardware selection and maintenance, information security, internet applications and system documentation. Is responsible for the oversight of the statewide Internet Service provider (ISP).
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Oversee the information technology strategy for the organization, developing and implementing the policies and goals for the IT department.
• Analyze the business requirements of different departments and conducts feasibility studies to determine the best use of technical resources.
• Manages the deployment, monitoring, maintenance, development, upgrade, and support of all IT systems, including servers, desktops, laptops, operating systems, routers, switches, firewalls, access points, VOIP telephones, software applications, and peripherals.
• Oversee systems development and enhancement and the integration of new systems with existing systems.
• Oversee and maintain all local area and wide area networks, including review and monitoring of all systems hardware and software, communication lines and carriers, including Internet provider and services.
• Provides expertise and support during systems upgrades, installations, conversions, and file maintenance.
• Develops criteria and standards for application software selection, use, update, and integration; assists in all applications software selection and implementation; works with management and staff in effectively utilizing information systems for administration and program service delivery.
• Manages servers, security solutions, network hardware and equipment. Maintains and updates licensing to ensure compliance with all third-party license agreements.
• Arranges for computer repairs, including diagnostics and troubleshooting, and replacement and configuration of system components; develops a system for hardware selection, standardization, and maintenance, including the selection and utilization of third-party resources to install, troubleshoot and repair hardware.
• Develops and implements a comprehensive internal and external security system; designs and implements a system of security for utilization of information technology resources including, application software, operating system software and Internet applications; ensures the adequate software and hardware security safeguards exist to prevent unauthorized access to organization information and systems.
• Prepares written and electronic media documentation of system hardware and software components, including but not limited to information flow, design, utilization, inventory, and licensing.

• Manages IT staff, including hiring, training, evaluation, guidance, discipline, and discharge.
• Develops and maintains a working relationship with 3rd party vendors
• Other responsibilities as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
• Degree in Information Technology or equivalent education and experience
• 8+ years prior work experience in the field of PC based technology, including current operating systems platforms.
• 5+ years of progressive IT experience
• Ability to meet deadlines, to conduct and direct research into IT issues and products, and to take initiative in the development and completion of projects. Strong project management, organizational and time management skills. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and evaluative skills.
• Experience in working with non-profit organizations preferred. Demonstrated ability to lead a team of technical staff, to work with the Executive Management of an organization, and to manage multiple concurrent projects.
• Any combination of academic education, professional training, or work experience, which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position.
• Demonstrated mastery of Windows operating systems.
• Valid Arizona driver's license and clearance/approval from corporate auto insurer.
• Must be willing to travel to all PPEP locations, including out-of-town travel and overnight stays; travel may at times be required with little notice.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent education and experience
• Current certification as a Certified Network Engineer and/or Systems Engineer.
• 10+ years prior work experience in administering a Windows based Local Area Network (LAN) or Wide Area Network (WAN).
• 10+ years of progressive IT experience
• Bilingual (English/Spanish).
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
• Must be able to see/read a computer monitor screen.
• Must be able to lift and carry fifty pounds.
