Scope of Duties:
Develop and grow international treasury management revenues across an assigned portfolio of U.S. headquartered client and prospects, with primary focus on Non-Bank Financial Institutions (NBFIs), including asset managers, private equity funds, hedge funds, insurance companies, specialty finance companies, and Fintech’s. The portfolio may also include selected corporate clients within a designated industry sector based on business priorities and coverage needs.
Focus on sophisticated organizations with significant international treasury requirements and a footprint across BBVA's global presence. Act as a senior subject matter expert and strategic advisor to executive-level decision-makers, including CFOs, Treasurers, COOs on value-added domestic and global cash management solutions, liquidity structures, payments and collections, connectivity, and relevant regulatory tax, legal and market considerations.
Major/Essential Job Duties:
·Originate and cross-sell international cash management solutions to NBFI and selected corporate clients and prospects headquartered in the U.S., acting as a senior subject matter expert and commercial lead.
·Determine and execute strategic calling plans in close coordination with CIB Investment Bankers and Coverage Relationship Managers. Align local Cash Management teams around a unified commercial strategy tailored to each client's operating model and treasury requirements, including complex NBFI structures such as fund-level banking, escrow and capital-call accounts, as applicable. Prepare and lead senior-level commercial and product pitches.
·Grow recurring revenues and maximize return on capital across the assigned portfolio. Review, analyze, and evaluate global cash management returns on complex client transactions.
·Identify and originate tailored cash management opportunities and structural enhancements to address institutional and industry-specific requirements. Follow through on opportunities through the complete lifecycle.
·Receive and manage the end-to-end RFP/RFI process for Cash Management services. Present unified multi-region proposals in collaboration with local Transaction Services (TS) teams.
·Coordinate with local Relationship and Cash Management teams to negotiate and deliver competitive pricing structures.
·Review legal agreements and bespoke documentation (including fund and NBFI-specific framework agreements) in collaboration with Legal CIB teams.
·Record all client engagements, visits, and pipeline opportunities in CRM applications, maintaining real-time accuracy across operation lifecycles.
·Lead complex implementation projects establishing centralized payment, collection, and liquidity structures—including direct channel connections, host-to-host integrations, API solutions, and customized file formats—managing client expectations from origination through operational delivery and ongoing service.
·Feed client and market insights back to the Global Product unit to drive future platform enhancements aligned with corporate and NBFI demand.
·Maintain deep functional knowledge of global and local transaction banking product catalogues and incoming services across all footprint markets.
·Monitor, measure, and analyze performance metrics and income generated per client and geography via internal management platforms.
·Represent the institution at specialized industry forums, roundtables, and NBFI-focused conferences.
·Deliver training and knowledge-sharing initiatives to deepen corporate and NBFI product knowledge across Relationship Managers and domestic Cash Management teams.
Qualifications:
·Bachelor’s Degree in finance, business, or a related field required; Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) or equivalent international treasury certification preferred.
·10+ years of Treasury Management, Cash Management, Transaction Banking and/or Payment’s sales and origination experience in international banking, with demonstrated experience covering sophisticated Corporate and/or Non-Bank Financial Institution clients. Direct experience with NBFIs strongly preferred.
·Demonstrated understanding of the operating models, treasury requirements and transaction-banking needs of relevant NBFI segments, including asset management, private equity/alternative investments, insurance, specialty finance and fintechs.
·Senior subject matter expertise in Cash Management products, including technical execution, TMS/ERP integrations, host-to-host connections, and API capabilities.
·Proven track record leading large-scale project implementations and complex multi-jurisdictional RFPs for institutional clients.
·Demonstrated ability to navigate cross-border team environments and drive commercial success in a fast-paced corporate bank.
·Willingness to travel nationally and internationally as required.
·Fluent English/Spanish (preferred)

With respect to this position in our New York Office, the expected base salary ranges from $180,000 to $220,000. It is not typical for offers to be made at or near the top of the range. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. In addition to salary and a generous employee benefits package, successful candidates are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus.
