Job Summary: The Enterprise Architect (EA) is a senior technology role responsible for ensuring Trimont's engineering, data, infrastructure, AI, and business enablement teams build toward a single, coherent technology strategy. This role does not own a functional team; it operates horizontally across the technology organization, setting standards, aligning roadmaps, and helping resolve cross-team architectural decisions. The EA reports directly to the CTO and acts as a trusted advisor and facilitator, working alongside each technology lead rather than above or in competition with them.
Responsibilities:- Define and maintain enterprise architectures, technology standards, and design patterns across engineering, data, infrastructure, and AI.
- Evaluate platforms, tools, and integrations for strategic fit, scalability, and technical debt.
- Embed security, risk, compliance, and data governance requirements into architectural decisions.
- Establish standards for data quality, lineage, metadata, reporting, sensitive data, APIs, middleware, and third-party connectivity.
- Align 12- to 24-month technology roadmaps, identifying cross-team dependencies, conflicts, and investment priorities.
- Advise the CTO on architectural risk, technical debt, portfolio rationalization, and budget priorities.
- Lead architecture reviews and facilitate cross-team decisions on platforms, integrations, and build-versus-buy strategies.
- Document key decisions and support audits, regulatory reviews, and client due diligence.
Required Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related study.
- 11+ years of technology experience, including substantial enterprise or solutions architecture expertise.
- Proven ability to collaborate across engineering, data, infrastructure, and AI without deep hands-on expertise in every area.
- Strong communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to build consensus among technical leaders.
- Experience in a regulated or data-sensitive industry; financial services, capital markets, or commercial real estate preferred.
- Demonstrated success translating architecture decisions into measurable outcomes, such as lower costs and risk or faster delivery.
- TOGAF certification or comparable experience with an enterprise architecture framework.
- Experience supporting enterprise-scale AI or data platform initiatives.
- Experience in a role spanning multiple technology functions, such as infrastructure and data or engineering and AI.
- Ability to lead and coordinate cross-functional teams.
